Question for the Graphic Heads

I wanna start a little something on my own part-time such as designing logos, business cards, flyers, invitations etc. I don't know where to start or what programs and hardware is necessary. I just need some insight on what first steps to take to get going. I'm very familiar with photoshop but thats about it. I've seen where indesign, QuarkXPress, Pagemaker etc was a requirement, but iis it necessary and if so which ones. I'm wiling to get those programs and start reading up on em. I'm also willing to buy the equipment needed for printing nad the whole nine. Just gotta know what to look for.
Any insight would be helpful, thx in Advance!

There is a gang of software u can use dude, and u named off some good ones. I don't know if u use a drawing tablet or not, but Best Buy has one called BAMBOO that I was gonna get for a hundred bones. They're very useful.

Check out Adobe Illustrator too. Its a vector graphics program, that is better to use especially with logos because it allows you to resize the image without quality.

You can find wacom tablets as low as 50 bucks on amazon these days, might be to small. But its cheap and if you decide you dont like fucking with them its only $50.
