Question for my guitar heads

I dunno if anyone is Still checking this thread this. So if anyone is I have found a new pretty good resource:

This web page offers free guitar lessons from a dude in the UK they are pretty good and great for beginners
http://justinguitar.com/

Also I've embedded one of his vids just to give an idea of what to expect

I just sounded out single lines first.

Copying old records as a kid.

Then I got a chord chart for guitars.

Then you get the sheet music with the guitar chords on it.

Fuck around like that for about a year seriously..you are on your way.

One of my goals this year is to learn guitar. I play keys/piano by ear. I want to learn some r&b/funk/soul/blues & jazz. I checked prices for lessons in my area & I'm not about to pay $75 for 2 hours a month.

Anyone know of good software, sites or books that will get me started? Is guitar easy?

Thanks fam.

go pick up a jimi hendrix cd and follow along with the master:yes:....just kiddin with ya...good luck

Justinguitar.com is the shit. He seriously make it easy. Also, another good source is nextlevelguitar.com They have a lot of free tutorial videos on there. Not sure about you guys, but I learn better when I can actually see someone doing it as opposed to just reading it. justinguitar and nextlevel have a lot of free tutorials, most of which are posted on youtube for free.

A good way to learn ANY instrument is to learn to play on songs that you like and know. Just play along with the song. It will also help you stay motivated to learn.
