I did 23 years...US Army. I was an officer. I will say this: You have been had. You do not understand what Russia has fought. Every fucking satellite we have has tracked every movement of Russian personnel. Nobody has superior missile technology than Russia. The same satellites and warning systems for Europe has tracked every missile Russia has launched and they still can't stop it. We had our AEGIS and THAAD systems defending Israel along with their iron Dome and Iran could hit them anytime and anywhere. If you have a satellite tracking Russian movement then you have time to plan a course of deterrence. Hence, slow progress. It would be much worse if the US military was in Russia's place because even though we have an NCO corp...we only have a very small amount of actual infantry and ground combat troops. Russian doctrine requires their forces must maintain 70% of their entire force for combat.

So the Russians couldn't have mass formations and vehicle movement because of the US watching 24 hours a day. The war changed for Russia when they decided to use 4-8 infantry/airborne groups to infiltrate on foot with the drone forces acting as their forward eyes. Ukraine did not have an answer because the majority of frontline personnel are not real ground soldiers. It has been the eyes in the sky, sophisticated NATO weaponry, and a ton of money that should take the credit for slowing the Russians. And guess what: THEY STILL WILL WIN THE WAR.

Mannnnnnyyyyyyyy folks are under the assumption Iran ain’t shit and they lost the war with Israel.
Them agreeing to the ceasefire led that assumption and all of their leaders being murk.
