Pusha T Response to Drake: The Story of Adidon

I'm a fan of both artists and I think Pusha's diss while not a "great song" it is the one L Drake has taken.

Drake crossed a line mentioning T's fiance/wife

Pusha announced to the world the son you were hiding from the world and he killed the Shoe/Apparel deal Drake had on the table......

And he then revealed that Drake's "brother" 40 is a pillow talking mfkr that was the leak in his crew.....

Vicious shit really......

That shit trended #1 worldwide for a week back in June 2018, so people arent being honest. Drake is an amazing artist. His run has been dope as fuck. Duppy was a really good diss (seems like 2/3 of it was to Kanye though). But he took an L with Pusha. And it's crazy how his fans keep trying to move the goal posts. No one did that shit when he got the W over Meek. He just bit off more than he could chew with Pusha T:
  • Typing out a response in your notes and posting to Twitter was an L.
  • His Adidas roll out never happening was an L.
  • Offering Pusha's opps in VA 100k for dirt on him and they ended up just telling Push was an L.
  • Never coming back with a track was an L.
  • Getting J. Prince to respond for him was an L.
  • Going on The Shop to discuss it MONTHS later was an L.
  • Throwing subs on Certified Lover Boy was an L.
All of these were results from Adidon.

Drake's legacy in hip hop is solidified. There's no arguing that. But he took an L during a battle. Shit, a lot of the GOATs have too. His fans gotta come to grips with that shit.

5 years later and Drake career is still where it is; as well as pussy t's career is still where it is. Harmless ass diss if there was ever.

No one expected Push revealing that Drake was hiding a child would end his career except for
giphy.gif

:roflmao:

When the last time yall heard the pusha song?… exactly

For me it's whenever I decide to listen, for others it's not when his album came out last year and for others.

Maybe it was earlier this year to see why he was nominated for a Grammy for best rap album? :dunno:

I guess the real question is when was the last time you heard a Pusha song?

Push didn't expect to end Drake's career. He just wanted to hand him an L on an otherwise spotless record.

Push knew full well with the machine behind Drake he was still gonna churn out records/ hits....

But that's Drake's lane, when it comes to bars/battling and really rhyming that's Pusha's....

And when Drake stepped into Pusha's arena he got that L and then the bounty afterwards for dirt on Pusha, That's another 1 and then the fact that the leak came from his "brother" 40,.....a damn L trifecta

Agreed

One of those days I'll remember where I was when it happened. Like 9/11. And when Retlaw got bodied.
 Shit was epic. I remember people saying"Man pusha went too far" People were putting their capes on for drake.

What was even better it was revealed drakes producer. Was the one who spilled the tea on drakes kid. Even the story about his kid was out years before. But the story was killed in the press asap.

C'mon bro, you're better than this. Mike Tyson made way more money than Buster Douglas, but head to head Buster Douglas knocked his ass out. No one says. "Well Tyson had more money, and had better highlights, so that L doesn't matter."

Drake can have more money. More hits. More hoes. All of that can be true. But it's also true he took an L in that one particular battle. Can't keep moving the goal posts for dude.

Man... this is one of the best diss songs ever released, hands down. He made that boy man up and be a dad.

based on the responses it sounds like some of you niggas needed a "Pusha T" in your vicinity so he could make your punk ass daddies come home from the store with that milk... like Bomani say it's a lot of insufficient daddying in the world today and it shows :smh:

Why do ppl think a diss suppose to end a career

Big still was still the man after the greatest diss of all times came out

Stop tryna take away Drake L

Drake gave Meek a L he still went platinum after

Drake is a singer not a rapper he's not a top rapper he don't have not one hip hop album

Exactly. Jay took the L to Nas and it didn't end him. People change the rules for the people they fangirl over.

Beanie to Jada
Shit Drake diss to meek is better
Pushas diss to drake is better
Man i still remember where I was when I first heard that ish on the radio, saw the video on BET. Then I heard the unedited version in my brother's stash........

The emotion and venom of his words, Pac said that shit 10 toes down with his whole chest. "That's why I fucked yo Bitch!"

It's top 5, hell maybe top 3 disses for me

To me it has no quotables
If you remove that line and “you claimed to be player but I fucked ya wife”. Shit goes down hill and the outlaws didn't add shit to the song.

Now that son of kiss

Fire all the way through

Sometimes it's not about quotables and slick word play or subliminals.

In this case it was about directly addressed beef by one of the top two rappers in the game at the time.

And saying "First off fuck yo bitch and the click you claim" shut the whole shit down.

Regarding The Outlaws, their verses were dope but I'd rather heard Tupac on two more verses instead of them.

"Fuck Bad Boy as a staff, record label, and as a muhfuckin crew" has been remixed and used often throughout the years
