PS3 First-Year Sales On Par With Xbox 360's

Should've been here all last year before the PS3 hit the shelves and took up residence. It was just like Mr. Motivator said. Everytime we would have an XBOX 360 conversation, here came Matt357 and the Blu-ray Bandits telling how great the vaporware, PS3 was and they had never played it.

It was pathetic. Now they coming in playing the victim like the 360 users were harrassing them. It's quite funny actually.

I just enjoy all the back-peddling and plea copping they are doing. They were all beating their chests and talking mad shit. Now that PS3 is in last place, they are besides themselves, lashing out and shit.

Well I'm sure those fanboys are eating some humble pie. It's time for cooler heads to have discussions about gaming because too much bullshit has been thrown around on all sides.

Xbox has the best line up for 2007. But... a lot of those games are also the PS3. Theres going to be a lot of overlap in games. Exclusives are going to be more Dependant on first party more than ever because third party developers make more money going multi-platform.

So the bottom line is people want to play games. There's a lot of games out for PS3 and 360. ignoring the whole who sold more consoles debate, this is a good year for all gamers. 2008 should be even better for all consoles.

what i read about it in gameinformer had me interested as there is little shoot em up if any, the ammo spread around is very limited so you have to shoot wisely not randomly whenever you feel like it.....

no one has said it but this could be the resident evil killer

I am platform agnostic when it comes to my opinion. Second of all just because you are riding every xboys dick you meet doesn't mean I have too. I love pussy way too much to be doing that shit.

And thanks for being captain obvious. 11 million 360 owners vs 5 million PS3 owners. Who the fuck is can't tell more of the third party titles will sell on the 360 side? Are you a retard or something.

Every night I talk calmly to folks who have PS3 and 360s and we talk mostly about the pros to either platform and even point out shortcomings without getting into an arguement. Just last night we talked about Bioshock. And how it should come to PS3 as well because its a really good game.

Also they told me unless that unless Capcom makes major improvement to "Lost Planet" that I should avoid the lack luster title when it comes to the PS3. So I know there are sane Xbox 360 people that aren't fanboys and just enjoy games and wants others to enjoy gaming on what ever platform they play on.

Now go release so stress in Halo or Gears.

Either way, this should be the time Sony drops it's AAA titles. Not next year. MS did this with XBOX 360. They had decent titles on launch including the sleeper Condemned: Criminal Origins.

They launched decents titles through the year and then dropped the hammer for the holiday and haven't let up since.

If Sony were to do this, they would get more than respectable sales.

Just a thought.

yea at first glance of dead space i thought "oh great, bioshock in space" then i read it and was really really interested in seeing it in action

the screens look gory as hell, seems like they want to raise survival bar some, and i ant mad at that

Eye of judgment is a bona-fide flop. If new traditional ips like Lair, Heavenly Sword and Warhawk struggled to sale.. it doesnt look good for that game. While sony has good exclusives like Ratchet, Haze and Uncharted... dont forget that alot of multiplatform games will be on PS3 like Orange Box, CoD4, Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3, which may make some Sony fans who were on the fence make the jump.

Looking forward besides GT, MGS and FF Sony has some big exclusive games RPGS im looking forward too like Disgea 3, **** Sphere sequel, White Knight, and a new Shin Megami Tensei game. Games like this will not only win over the niche gaming crowd in the US but will also probably push the PS3 over the Wii in Japan especially Shin Megami Tensei which is huge over there.
