For people not familiar with Louisiana, New Orleans is Louisiana's economic engine and cultural hub; there is NOTHING in Northern Louisiana that you want. This is like somebody from Poughkeepsie trying to introduce bills to remove offices and eliminate positions in New York City.
New Orleans is going to fuck around and have Baton Rouge literally running the city, and despite what Mask would make you think, the rest of Louisiana is diametrically different from New Orleans, and it's going to be time-wasting clashes, wasted money, more political gridlock, and more years passing on as more people start trying to get the fuck out of here before Mother Nature either sinks this bitch or forces it back into the swamps it was 300 years ago.
The current time-wasting political gridlock is going to be the lawsuit between Chelsea Richard Napoleon and the city because with Calvin Duncan's position being merged into hers and the city electing to appoint an interim and eventually make Napoleon and Duncan run for the newly merged position, she has elected to sue because she ran her race, spent her money to campaign, and won; she (rightfully) feels she shouldn't have to run again for an office she won.

The nicest part of baton Rouge is east baton rouge and that's not saying a lot. I was living there the time when the cac won the Governorship, my in laws voted I'm not sure about the rest of my wife's fam. The brotha running against got molly whooped wasn't CSlose at all.
