This may sound crazy but that is probably what's keeping him grounded... He stated before he smokes weed for his pain - a proven alternative for pain reduction vs opiates... Mushrooms have also been proven to help people suffering with depression because it helps those people connect to their inner senses and many have said it helps give them clarity of themselves... I've never done shrooms, but know 2 people(Black, like for the culture Black) that have, which opened my curiosity to research... Shrooms trips are done in private and mostly by themselves - they not doing shrooms then hopping in the car to go out...
No shot to you, but in general the public opinion is yes, drugs are bad, but people really don't understand or even want to know the effects & benefits - which is beneficial for the pharm industry... Yet alcohol is legal... I won't vouch for all drugs, but I do believe weed and shrooms have a place vs opiates and alcohol...

I can appreciate what you are saying, and I actually agree.
I just think Mike is overdoing the drugs. Mixing them and getting passed the point of the drugs being therapeutic and just getting completely fucked up. Then the drugs start having the opposite effect. They become more psychotics and really fuck w/ Mike's mental stability.

I literally just got finished watching Facing Ali had me balling like a baby seeing every heavyweight great literally honor this man with everything they got.
As we know nothing can ever replace Ali, but the same can be said about Iron Mike.

Not necessarily the type for suicide, not wanting to deal with the stress and strain and pains anymore I can truly understand. He's had a great life and few boxers who spent a whole lot of years in the game end up with the last years of their life happy.

I agree with much of this but Mike seems to be overdoing it.
Listen, I work in healthcare. Many of my patients have what we believe to be simple health issues but because of their mental state their body just breaks down and they end up dying before their time (for lack of a better term)
I literally had a retired army guy in his 60s tell me he's just tired of fighting and he passed shortly. All he had to do was minor physical therapy and diet change
