Saw a post saying that what's not normal is there's been quakes from 3m, 4m and 5m on the Richter scale every 15-20 mins across Turkey, nonstop. Like they aren't after tremors they were implying but more smaller quakes.

I figured that number was going to jump up before is all set and done is going to probably get around 15,000

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately this earthquake hit in the middle of the night when everyone was asleep in their buildings so sadly this is very very possible.It wouldn't surprise me if it hits 20K.
