You use astro manager and go to where you downloaded it to your phone at.
Try Dice Player as well. I downloaded a 2gb 720p MKV episode of True Blood, and it played flawlessly, no skipping, audio was in sync. Shit played like a tv. I currently use MX Video Player as well, but it doesnt play mkv as good as DicePlayer.

did you check your download folder? what browser did you use to download the file? or did you download it on the pc and then transfer it?
once you find it, you will need Unrar to open it. There is an android version in the market.
I downloaded to my p then transfered it...I transfered it twice to make sure its on the phone..and it is...even through my moboplayer its in the files portion,but cant open it to use as an app
unrar the file on your pc, transfer the apk file to your phones memory card. put it in the root directory. disconnect your phone and open up Astro. navigate to the apk file and just click on it, it will ask if you want to install it, just say yes.
