Not Hard At All I Had A HTC Touch Pro Running Windows I Use To Break The Device Just Almost Every Six Months Will Lock It Back And Get Another One At The Sprint Store.

this is z4root, its the easiest root method. after installing and running, if your phone freezes during the process for more than 20 seconds, just reboot the phone.

Damnn late as hell on this thread. I got into that "Bettercut" yesterday and now on that "Desktop Visualizer". I'm currently making my own icons using this format
and will post some screencaps when i'm finished. Thanks to everyone that dropped knowledge in this thread. Got my phone looking extra nice

Yeah the app he used for the above pic is called "Desktop Visualizer" and its free in the Market. The link for the icons he used is on Page 2 or 3 of this thread. To get it to the size you like on your screen you'll have to long press on the homescreen>>choose Widgets>>find Desktop visualizer and then play around with the sizes until you find one that looks right

What i had to do was FIRST long press the homescreen>click WIDGETS>find the DESKTOP VISUALIZER size i wanted and the android showed up on my homescreen press it and then it'll take you to DESKTOP VISUALIZER where you put in the icons then

i tried doing it that way...and the icons did get bigger...but not as big as the screen shots shown on here...they still turned out pretty small...no matter what size i choose

On my phone, which isn't rooted, i'm using the 2x1 horizontal size and the icons are pretty big. You can choose sizes up to 4x4

are you using a launcher? like Launcher Pro, or ADW? If so, long press on the icon and a border will appear around it, take your finger and drag it to how big you want it to be. If its a small icon, you will have to start from scratch and choose a different size with the Desktop Virtualizer (this is if you are using Launcher Pro, with ADW you dont have to start from scratch, just long press, select edit and find the icon)
also, if you are using any of these launchers, you can change the amount of space for the icon support, you can raise it to 5 (to get the 5x? effect) icons or keep it at 4.
