Pool owners, what kind of automatic pool cleaner do you have?

How long have you been using it? Any cons?Polaris pool vacuum...
Looong time...same one for the last 10 years or so. May replace a component or two over time but if maintained properly could last a very long time. Vacuum and frog log are the best pool investments i've ever made.

I guess it depends on where you live. I wouldn't want to own a home in FL without a pool. We (my kids, myself and wife) use it pretty regularly, especially in the summer.
It was 98 degrees the other day. Fuck a hot tub. Having a swimming pool > not having one when it's 90+

What do you use to skim the surface?
Polaris Vac-Sweep 3900 Sport pressure side pool cleaner. Been having this for about 3 years its a very good cleaner. You will need a booster pump to run it.
We bought our house with a pool but in Houston wouldn't do so again. It's not heated so you get 4-5 months of use a year at best. But that maintenance and electricity hit every month whether you use it or not. If I was in a state I could use majority of year, then maybe but overall, I'd rather have the room back in my yard now that I have a toddler.

Anyone got a swim spa? I was thinking of getting a swim spa instead of a pool for exercise.
