Shit, I still got my PlayStation 3 to play movies through my hard drive. The only downside is you need to change all the hard drives to FAT32

I haven't played a game on the PS3 for a grip, but I still use it to play movies and porn I download

This all over the internet rumors are Sony is bypassing the PS5 Pro for a direct sequel, makes no sense to me.

The videos' source is a document Sony made for a UK government group that's investigating the Microsoft/Activision merger. While it doesn't specifically say 2027 is the slated release date of a PS6, the subject of the paragraph was that Microsoft will only promise to release Call of Duty on PlayStation until that year.

This new shit is from people reading into what Tom Henderson said on Twitter a few days ago about a "gen 2" PS5. Even though he also stated in the thread that it's a cost reduced version, of course the internet started thinking that since the PS5 is three years old, and the Pro came on year 4, then that means there won't be a pro version of the 5.

It probably won't happen, but not because they don't see Microsoft as a threat but because this is the first real year that the system will be able to sell without anything holding it back. Last gen's processors were so anemic it was necessary for both consoles because it was affecting sales for both systems. That isn't true today, and we are just now getting to a point where developers are targeting both exclusively. There just isn't any real reason to rev either right now and I wouldn't be surprised if this also pushes the next versions of consoles back another year if sales are still strong then.
