Re-upping this for the holiday season.

League starts this Friday. The worst two weeks are dropped from your record, which accommodates late joiners and also means that one missed deadline doesn't end someone's year.

The winner will be based on picking from the games held on Friday, Saturday and Sundays, so it's not an everyday commitment and more in line with a football Pick 'Em league.

The league is on Pooltracker.com, so if you participate in the NFL Pick 'Em Pool, you can use the same username and don't have to sign up again.

@An RnB Thug-- You gotta pick the score for the last game! I assume either you forgot to do that or you forgot that teams surpass single digit scores since the invention of the shotclock. ;)

Crazy how daBulls (who is that?) and @ansatsusha_gouki tied and Ansatsusha lost the tiebreaker for being only two points off because daBulls picked the total points perfectly.
 
My loyalty to the Nuggets screwed me.........but NOW they want to beat the Clippers when i'm not picking. smh
 
I don't think i'm doing the tie breaker right. You pick how many points both teams will score together right? Like one team scores 80 and the other scores 100 the tiebreaker would be closest to 180?

You're good-- The worst two weeks are dropped.

So anyone who signs up now was 0-19 last week but that's not going to count toward determining the winner of the pool.

I like that because I've participated in the NFL pool for multiple years and I hate that I can make picks for 15 weeks and then if I forget one week, that outweighs everything else.

Nobody is too late who signs up before Friday January 6th-- If you don't get in until then, though, you have no cushion if you ever forget to make picks.

That's exactly right.

If you look under the submit button on the page where you make your picks, it says "Tie Breaker: Total Cumulative Score of Last Game Listed."

Even though we're having a disagreement in another thread, you're free to participate if you want.

I don't know if you're being petty or just confused-- This is the same website that has hosted the BGOL football pool for years and I've never entered credit card info. It's totally free. They have paid "upgrades" but I don't even know for what. Me and the other people doing this are doing it for free.

If you're being sincere and having a problem signing up, I'll walk you through it.

It's not a scam. We been doing the football version for years. Site is legit.

OP, this is a nice idea. Just signed up since the football season is about over. Nice format keeping it for the weekend.

You mean why do we only pick Friday-Sunday? (Unless I missed something, we are picking all games played on those days.)

Just because that's a shitload of games otherwise and I think less people would be willing to participate. I wouldn't mind picking them all but it would be a bit of a chore. I don't think it is even an option on the site we're using.

You did this the best way possible. It's unreal how many cats miss the Thursday games during the football season. Shit, I even missed one this year for the first time ever. I can't imagine having to set fucking picks for every game.

If dudes can't get it together in time enough for one game on a Thursday then trying to pick multiple games all week would lead to records worse than my dude MacTown......:giggle:

Same here. The weekend is a natural reset point for me and I'm not a football junkie so I regularly forgot about Thursday night football.

That's also why we have the two week grace period, though-- Mac Town still has a chance to win this league, whereas with the football league there would be no reason for him to continue at this point.
