Oakland A's pitcher Brandon McCarthy hit in head by line drive. He walked off under his own power after several tense moments.

I was watching live, and thought "oh he'll shake it off, or at worst have a concussion and be back in 3 weeks." Then I heard this morning that he had to have surgery to relieve pressure on his brain, and the doctors say he's still not out of the woods.
