Pistons Bring Back Ben Wallace

Cracka, please.
He was a better shot blocker, and that's about it. Rodman could out rebound Ben Wallace and out defend him.

Not really.

In his prime, Rodman could stay out all night, drinking and snorting blow off white girls' flat asses, then ride his motorcycle to the arena 5 minutes before tip-off and shut down Karl Malone.

So could most anyone (with his very limited skills, low mentality and ONE-WAY play) who had some of the greatest players of his generation on each of his teams. They could cover-up for his lack of concentration and dysfunction, while letting him play within his own little bubble.

Ben Gordon has flawed game but goddammit in the playoffs you ned someody who can create their own shot. Theres not a LOT of guys who can put points on the board in the crunch better than BG. A 3-guard platoon like they have is okay.

Remember Dumars specialty is taking a bunch of outcasts and misfits and turning them into a cohesive unit.

Ben Gordon got off in the playoffs... but still.. I just don't tend to like undersized players who can only score and also shoot at a low percentage (Iverson, Gordon, etc). I guess he is still going to come off the bench so maybe he is going to be a Microwave 2.0 ...that might work..but damn... Dumars really spent some cheddar on Gordon... I do agree though... I like that he can get off his own shot and the Pistons were lacking that..

Thoth... man... I can't wrap my mind around the shit Joe Dumar is doing man... Moving Chauncey and all this other shit..at least it seemed like he at least had some logic behind it (even if it wasn't the best move) but when we picked up Ben Gordon..I was like WTF... I've never liked undersized 2 guards that chuck the rock and don't play defense..

Ben Wallace means a lot to the franchise.. but damn..he's on his last fumes...

Dumars better have something up his sleeve

You think he's trying to implement Mike D'Antoni/ Walsh's roster system in Detroit?

That would be a huge change for the Pistons.

There's a lot of transition on that roster.

The Chicago Bulls are built similar.

Blunt is not serious.

better not be.. cuz that would be one of tha dumbest things said regardin basketball.. but anyway, my comment on Ben signing is; oh well.. maybe if he never left, tha Pistons probably would've won another championship

:lol::lol::lol:

In Detroit, the Pistons plan on using Wallace as a back-up to Kwame Brown. The Pistons were especially thin on their front line last season and still believe that Wallace can defend and rebound -- albeit not at the same pace as his last stint with the Pistons.

Man.. I'm completely clueless in terms of where he is taking things..it seems like it though..that he is goings towards a d'antoni type of system...and yeah..he's definitely gone in the opposite direction of the team that won a title and was in contention for others..those were defensive-minded teams...shit.now we might have a player or two that can defend

Dumars is doing the right thing...the NBA is continually rigging the rules against defensive teams, its really really hard to put together a defensive oriented squad without a Kobe / LeBron type superstar that is a serious contender.

Also, I would assume Dumars is planning on trying to make a run at Bosh or D Wade or whichever superstar is willing to talk to them. Not sure about the cap but worst case they could always sign and trade too.

End of day I think Dumars is just trying to get the best players who will sign on then figure it out.

Yea but how many times can you go to the same well.....
And I'm a Joe D. fan since he came to Detroit as a unknown from McNeese State......

Thing is we have seen Ben Gordon and Villanueva...play ....Now we got them and Rasheed,Chauncey and Antonio McDyess are gone....who the fuck thinks thats a fair trade off??

Everything makes sense now.....Get rid of one of the best Bigs in the league on offense and defense (Rasheed)...and one off the best small forward rebounders (McDyess) and replace them with Kwame and an aging B Wallace....."fucking brilliant"
