Maybe the guy was scared of going to jail. What the cops needed to do was chase him, not shoot him. If they couldn't chase them then let him go and catch him later not shoot the guy in the back

Take away their guns. They’re obviously incapable of using it. It explains when time gets tough they chew on it as a reflex.
I used to say don't run but I've never been in that position before. I believe when faced with the daunting notion that you're going to spend at least one night in jail especially for a MINOR infraction, it scrambles your thought process. I asked my detective neighbor why the rules are different for minorities and he told me what I already know, no one is going to jail for it but killing a white person especially if you're a minority cop will most likely get you in jail, not just fired.
