I agree, you can't really take some of them seriously.

But as always, you gotta try that food out for yourself because what someone else like doesn't mean you would like it too.
Most of them just like sauce and wouldn’t know seasoning if you smacked them in the face with it

I dont know if anyone ever ate there or is familiar with the area. Center city is a pretry diverse area. I ate there, I posted a review either in this thread or another cheesesteak thread. To keep it 100, the food aint all that, Im not saying she full of shit, but I find it far more likely that because the quality of the food she cant draw customers to afford the rent. Keep in mind if you were going to open youre own soul food joint, would you open it in a racist white neigjborhood ? Does that really sound like a sound business plan ?

The location is not the problem, its the food.
I went for breakfast, had chicken and waffles.
You know its hard to fuck breakfast up and they managed to do it.
Chicken was dry as fuck with no flavor.
Waffle was like a spongy pancake.
A good location for them would be a gentrified wypipo neighborhood where the wypipo dont know any better.
You aint getting thay garbage ass food off around no city black folk, especially no raised poor or country black folk.

This why I said i dint know how much truth in her story. The location she in, rent is high, and the space is huge, I mean really big for an eatery.
If you aint turnin tables at a consistent rate you aint going to make any money.
She need a smaller venue, maybe 20 -25 tables max.
Food quality needs hella improvement.
 
I mean people eat anything, just because you see long lines doesn't mean the food is good.

For example, Saul country cookn' when she used to be in North Philly would have long lines of people buying her food but there was a lot of people who didn't like her food. Also, when she showed how she prepared her food, I didn't even bother wanting to try her food. Let me say this, she has cooks in her family who never cooked before in the kitchen which you can never trust unless there was a vet in there making sure the food was cooked right which saul never had since she was the one doing everything.

I never had chubby chicks food but if these black owned food businesses want to stay in business then they gotta start having quality food people would love with affordable prices and the right location to afford rent for their spot that can produce a lot of traffic.

You have to be able to tuen ur tables over to be profitable, or have a helluva take out business and she has neither.
Tryimg to fill 40-50 tables and turn them 7 days a week your food and service better be exceptional.

I have a weird idea for a chain restaurant. I want a restaurant where white folks that look strung out on dope are serving really good food. And for really great service, patrons slide their server a small bag with white substance and a needle.

Sorry Chubby Chicks didnt work out....Me and a couple of family members went after she had those problems....food was good, nice service...store needed to be on chestnut or Market....
