When dealing with the cops don't assume anything except you may be shot instantly for BS if you are BLACK.
I used to open carry when you could in CA. And had several encounters with the cops. since in LA, CA its surprise them. Most cops don't know the law. Several times I had the field supervisor come out to straighten the BS out. The Sherriffs and CHP are far more versed on the law.
But always after informing them of open carrying. I never assumed I was good. I made no moves until asked. And even then I told them what I was doing and why. Made sure my hands were visble. 9 times out 10 they let me roll. But YMMV?
I bet the cop will try to hang their hat on my man went for his wallet without my command. I thought he was going for his burner.
