I agree...PSU is fraudulent. I still have faith they'll drop one. There are no truly elite teams in college football this year beat the Nittany Lions really ain't shit and if they get into the title game against the Big 12 champ, the SEC champ, or USC...they're getting drug and everyone is going to be saying what we've known for the last couple of years...the Big Ten is overrated like a MF!
They also beat the shit out of Oregon State, who beat USC. You can't judge a team off that transitive shit (A beat B and B beat C therefor A could beat C). Its all about matchups
USC beat an Ohio State team that did not have Beanie Wells and kept switching QB's every other drive. Of course USC was gonna smash 'em. Penn State played a tougher Ohio State team then SC did.
the big 10 and big 12 are overrated. they never play anybody but themselves to gage how good they are on a national scale. The rest on the fact that these programs were this shit years ago and everyone votes them in. I bet if the big 10 and the big 12 played other folks they wouldnt even be in the bcs race.

Who qualifies under what you're talking about?
Every team in the country gets 4 non conference games and just about every team in the top 10 has played one decent squad and a bunch of bullshit for the other three. The rest of the schedule is conference play. No one plays a national schedule other than Notre Dame and even they basically play the same 13 teams (one or two rotate on and off the sched).
That ranking is a joke.
I will say this though... I'm a Big 10 fan but I'm a realist.. this year specifically.. Penn St going undefeated is going to be really unimpressive in terms of undefeated teams..they played no ranked teams out of conference AND Michigan is a division II team this year.... Wisconsin is having a bad year...and OSU is less than impressive... I would have a hard time putting them in the national title game unless Texas, Alabama, etc just falls off the map..I would almost even put any 1 less SEC team in over Penn St even if Penn St. won out..because any SEC team that loses once will have probably beaten 3 top 10 teams in the process...
listen man.. I'm a big ten fan... but Penn St hasn't played a ranked or aveven a good out of conference team..and with Michigan and Wisconsin having their worst years in recent memory... I still don't know if Penn St is legit or not.. I want them to be...but the last thing we need as Big Ten fans is to have another Big 10 team in the BCS game getting embarrassed..

It's all a wash.....beat the teams on your schedule. Texas seems to be doing it. Alabama seems to be doing it and Penn State seems to be doing it.

no shit the ACC is a joke but they aren't scared to play people so we know they are a joke. that's what i'm getting at. the top teams in the big 10 and the big 12 dodge other good teams and rest on the fact that they are gonna get voted in on reputation. which is exactly what is happening this year. Excuse me if I'd like to see a national championship game that is actually good. I'm fucking tired of seeing a big 10 team get stomped every year by an SEC team or USC. that's exactly what is gonna happen this year penn state will run the table and go in undefeated as the #1 ranked team. Then they will get raped 42-7. That shit is lame and everyone knows that.
yea the pac-10 is having a down year. i agree with that but it seems like the big 10 is having a down decade. and i am about 2 go im not spending my saturday night arguing about something thats never gonna get solved.
I'm not a big 10 fan, I hate the conference but I've been impressed with Penn State. I've also been impressed by Florida, Alabama (but John Parker Wilson is QB)Texas, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma Georgia, USC, Ohio State, and a couple of others. All these teams have flaws. The thing is, it's not the talent.....it's the matchup. I'd say after watching all these teams play PSU probably matches up with just about all of them except Florida.
You know very well that Pac 10 is not as good as the Big 10 in terms of overall consistent quality teams being produced throughout the years.
Every few years, you will have a solid Ohio, Penn St, or Michigan team ranked in the top three and going to the BCS game.
In Pac 10, aside from USC - who else does that?
I will say that the SEC is arguably the best, better than the Big 10, 12, and Pac 10.
your bored arn't you first off you say psu sucks but they destroyed the same team that beat usc so what does that say about them second comparing the big 10 and pac ten your smokin right if i remember correct isn't the pac 10 1 an somthin against the mwc third psu is good they have not played the best comp due to the big 10 being down this year (damn it) but every conf has a good year but if psu goes 12-0 and one of the other top two lose then they deserve to be in the NC but if not nah thats there lose and they needed to play a better non-confrence games but they do not suck
The Big Ten has done well against the SEC or any conference for that matter in bowl games in general.. the problem has been in the big game..the BCS match for the national title...so I guess I still have my doubts about Penn St because they have not really been a great team this year... Ohio St is not even the team they were last year so beating them doesn't really impress me...and I think Penn St has played damn good ball this year...But I want to see them beat a team like Georgia or Texas impressively then I will be sold
