Pc selection help....

Negative.

My windows pc I used prior had 32gbs. When I exported a 45 minute clip/video on Premiere from my PC, it took damn near three or four hours.

When I got my Mac Mini, the same sequence in Premiere exported in under five minutes.

A 16gb M1 Mac Mini machine will smoke a 32gb and even 64gb Windows machine.
so this would be a good look....

Refurbished Mac mini Apple M2 Pro Chip with 10‑Core CPU and 16‑Core GPU
16GB unified memory
512GB SSD1
Four Thunderbolt 4 ports
Gigabit Ethernet port
$1,099.00

the next joint-up would be this...

Refurbished Mac mini Apple M2 Pro Chip with 10‑Core CPU and 16‑Core GPU, 10GB Ethernet
16GB unified memory
512GB SSD1
Four Thunderbolt 4 ports
10 Gigabit Ethernet port *$100 EXTRA
$1,179.00

Refurbished Mac mini Apple M2 Pro Chip with 10‑Core CPU and 16‑Core GPU, 10GB Ethernet
32GB unified memory
512GB SSD1
Four Thunderbolt 4 ports
10 Gigabit Ethernet port
$1,519.00

that price is USED studio price point... ijs.

Not trying to be funny pimpin..... but you got hundreds of side hustle threads..... and that's your budget.....you got a Walmart budget? Are you Section 8?
sidebar: you need to start taking some of your suggested side hustles and start hustling

for a used pc... yup... I increased it to an additional $700 but dnt want to spend the whole $1400. no matter how much I make I refuse to style for pocket watching faggots. it makes no sense to pay for the new price when you can pay for the used price.
Its obvious you were raised in the projects..... project niggaahz love to LOOK like they have money & spend what they earn doing so. You need it to be new or name brand, Id rather save my money & kop the no frills version. I wish I did have sec 8.... food stamps too. Less money I gotta spend. :dunno:

For sure. Laptops today are investments. I make money on mine, so I paid extra than I normally would have. I probably should have done more, but I'm good with what I got.
i just hate spending the paper but not doing so is costing me in time. so, I dnt have much of a choice now. my pc is on its last leg. :smh:

If i could ever get my hands on one......
Fujitsu UH-X 4ZR1J37878
12th Gen Intel Core I7 1255U/16GB/1TB SSD/Intel Irix Xe/Windows 11

Honestly, what I got in return was additional time. Everything I do is so much faster and much more efficient than it was before. Also, it will allow you to explore and push your computing resources more.

I get wanting to go the cheap route, but ultimately you’ll be holding yourself back. White folk got advantages over us because of resources. Simple things like computing power means something today. They’ll spend thousand on a laptop or computer, which always giving them an advantage in whatever field they are in that require computer technology. This goes for buying software too.

Yea... i cant afford to not spend the money at this point. It will be a tax writel off.

What was the specs of the Windows PC? Because typically I find that people who say this are either coming from a machine that is around the same vintage of the OP (around 11-12 years old) still hard drive based, or at the most uses SATA SSDs or they didn't take advantage of Quicksync or any other acceleration available on the PC.

I'm not saying the M1 or M2 is overhyped or isn't a brilliantly engineered chip but when the above is true anything recent is going to feel worlds better than what you are used to .

I don't remember the specs of my old machine, but it was about seven years old at the time and was running my operating system off an SSD. It had an AMD chip, forget which one.

Thanks for everybodys help...

A tremendous improvement all across the baord. Even the feedback in my speakers are gone.

The sound & images are much crisper & everything moves without delay.

I was just thinking a gaming laptop. I bought one earlier this year for about $1700. It’s an Acer. It’s the perfect type of overkill on resources I need.

I mostly convert uncompressed Blu-ray using Handbrake, so I can to that in 20 minutes now.

The only draw back is the sound sucks for music and it’s bulky, but none of that is important to me.
Which setting do you use to compress? All my files stay too large after its done.

I like to keep my files between 3 and 6 gigs, but it really depends on the Blu-ray itself. For example, “The Wiz” blu-ray was about 40 gigs uncompressed, so my usual settings didn’t compress it enough.
