AI or any kind of manipulative software (autotune, etc) has been mainly terrible for music. 80% of the time it's used to disguise inferior vocals or clean up shit that would normally would require a retake.
IMO that ain't music.
OTOH, it can be used to clean up old masters that until now had been in bad shape. I remember years ago hearing some Art Tatum that was degraded but the AI was programmed to not only clean it up but to insert notes where the tape was bald. It sounded marvelous. And they cleaned up Erroll Garner's Concert By The Sea which had long been fucked up because of the salt air. There are many recordings that could benefit from AI because they were clipped or just done on inferior equipment but for heaven's sake leave the music alone - don't manipulate it. The humanity is what makes it unique. Don't remove that.
