They didn't give up much to get him. You really think Vic and Sabonis was going to be the future franchise. Plus, that frees up money for this year and next. Especially if PG doesn't stay. But Russ will more than likely re-sign for the max. This is PG first time playing with another All-Star caliber player. But the Thunder honestly didn't lose out on this. It's better than getting nothing. And if you want young talent it will be there next year to draft. PG will be on a team that will be competitive this year. Maybe not championship contender status as of now but at least make the west interesting.

These Dudes are tired of hearing about him being the best, and all the consecutive finals, etc and don't want to jump on his bandwagon or play in his shadow. They feel they are superstars too and want to beat him. This is a case of when LeBrons greatness is working against him. The only real way his teams are going to be a real threat to a chip is if he goes to another team, and he's not getting any younger. When was the last time there were so many complaints of him being tired, needing help, etc. a few years ago it was common knowledge he could go to damn near any team and make them contenders, but as he's gotten older not so much.
