Paul George is gone

You think so?
Yep; I think Gilbert is like im paying all this money, mofos on the team need to perform better; also they got one and I think he knows LBJ is gonna bounce; if LBJ bounce they will be in rebuild mode again; why sacrifice any more 1st rounders?; why pay more luxury tax? Gilbert aint no dummy...

The Rockets started this super team shit back in 1996 when they had Barkley, Olajuwon and Clyde the Glide. Olajuwon avged 23 ppg 9 rpg and 2 bpg that season, Barkley 19 ppg and 13.5 rpg and Clyde the Glide 18 ppg 6 rpg and 6 apg

You only considered a Super Team if you in the prime of your career. Veterans ring chasing at the end of their career isn't a superteam.

Wow. See, see. That's that conflict I was talking about last night. It's tough to move KL's contract. Looks like they won't be wheeling and dealing, lol.

If they could find a way, that lineup would be killer. I don't know how killer, but better than what they have now. LBJ could take 20 games off with PG there.

See, see. Magic better get PG now. Get off his high horse.

If your daddy cares about you, he'd come and pick you up. Magic is trying to finesse PG and not give him the home max.

There's no way I'd let Lebron hang around George for a full season either. He's the "president" of Nike now. Magic better get busy, break bread, or else. Another embarrassing off season.

Lakers fans were high fiving, like they have it in the bag. I knew this would get more interesting.

D-Lo is from Kentucky, I believe. Let him go. You don't need him with PG.
Hes not going to Cavs; that just media trying to get clicks on articles....

I know. They don't have anything Indiana wants. He's definitely not playing for the Pacers next season. So somebody is going to break bread or he's going to get sequestered. Like Tinsley status.

They could find a third team to take Love, but wait . . . they have no front office now.

Lakers gonna have to trade for him; Give up Russell and Pacers better move asap!

No doubt. Bird is still in there too. And he sat JT for a season, I believe. PG could get the same if no one bites.

Bird is vengeful. And he drafted PG. No all star team. No all nba. No commercials. For another year.

So he made it impossible to go back to Indiana, but says he prefers to play for the Lakers knowing damn well they don't have shit to trade him for, with out making the Lakers even worse for the next five years, knowing that the only team who is willing to sign him under these circumstance are the Cavs with Love..
Think about it if he were to come strait out and say he wanted to play for the Cavs, the Silvers might void the trade due to alleged tampering...
So if he really wants to go to the Cavs like his actions (not words are indicating) the last thing he would want to do is raise suspicion of tampering, and the best way to do that is by blowing them smoke away from the fire..

Bird and any gm for the Pacers is handicapped; Owner has already said hes not paying any luxury tax; so what does that tell the players? PG gotta bounce; Pacers aint winning shit; Lakers better not be stupid; If they gonna draft Lonzo, might as well give up Russell...

Here is another clue...
Say you were the GM of the Pacers and your star player tells you that he will not sign with you guys next year.
What is the first thing you going to do??
Of course ask him can you give us a list of team you have no problems being traded to for a possible trade and sign deal, win win for both parties..
And what will be your first course of action?\
You got it, immediately get on the phone and start negotiating with the teams, not telling anyone about the teams on the list, so they can have some form of leverage, and not wasting anytime knowing that your are on the clock..
And this is exactly what the Pacers did with the Cavs, as soon as they got the news from P.G..

I think the key is, the Pacers know who is on P.G. trade and sign list, so basically if team have to reach out to the Pacers they should know they are doing so with no assurance that he will sign with them..
The Pacers would know that due to the risk of losing P.G. at the end of the season, those teams are almost a waste of time due to them fetching less than what P.G. is worth..
Instead it would make logical sense for them to concentrate on the teams most likely give them back the most in return, and the only way this can be done is if Paul has expressed to them that he is willing to sign with them in a trade.. So instead of paying attention to who is trying to contact the Pacers (those teams are clueless to who P.G. is willing to sign with) folks should pay attention to who the Pacers reached out and started talking to off the jump..
And so far I haven't heard anything about the Pacers talking to the Lakers about a trade...

Jimmy Butler on being the face of a franchise: 'It doesn't mean a damn thing'
Former Bulls star was venting after being traded to the Timberwolves

Of all the moves and picks that were made before and during the draft, the biggest was the trade between the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves that sent Jimmy Butler to Minnesota in exchange for Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn, while the teams also swapped first-round picks.

Butler, who had spent his whole career to that point in Chicago and has turned into one of the best two-way players in the league in the last couple of seasons, will now be tasked with leading the Wolves as they try to make their first playoff appearance since 2004.

While he'll now be Minnesota's best player, please do not start calling Butler the face of the franchise for the Timberwolves. Via the Chicago Sun-Times:

"It doesn't mean a damn thing,'' the three-time All-Star told the Sun-Times in a phone interview from Paris on Friday. "I guess being called the face of an organization isn't as good as I thought. We all see where being the so-called face of the Chicago Bulls got me. So let me be just a player for the Timberwolves, man. That's all I want to do. I just want to be winning games. Do what I can for my respective organization and let them realize what I'm trying to do.

"Whatever they want to call me … face … I don't even want to get into that anymore. Whose team is it? All that means nothing. You know what I've learned? Face of the team, eventually you're going to see the back of his head as he's leaving town, so no thanks.''

Well, OK, then.

If Butler doesn't want to be the face of the franchise, maybe Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and he can go by the "Three Alphas."

Has anyone ever used that one before?
