1h ·Patrolman Moses P. Cobb was born into slavery and walked all the way from North Carolina to Brooklyn to make history, becoming one of the first African American officers to join the Brooklyn Police Department before its merger into the NYPD.
His legacy carries on through his great grand daughter, School Safety Agent Emma Spruill, along with her daughter and grandson.
