the military killed him to make a great hero story cause thats wha america needs.
He probably joined the military because of patriotic propaganda he'd heard all his life, but his bigotry and hatred caused him to want to personally kill his "enemy" as payback.
Good thing 9/11 wasn't caused by Africans or Pat Tillman would have joined the local survivalist/ supremacist millitia ... strapped on a M16 or M4 and just gone downtown and started killing Blacks.
He probably got fired on by his own men because they got tired of his "Rambo-ish behavoir/attitude."

Im pretty sure that he was an atheist who was patriotic. Im also certain his family slammed the army for exploiting his death and trying to make him something he wasn't
Very funny. Killing your own soldiers is hardly a good recruiting tool. Fact is, this shit happens all the time, and always has (in every war). His "fame" is what actually brought it to light. Otherwise, no one would care enough to look into it. He inadvertantly provided a greater service to his country by exposing, in death, the military's bullshit, than by fighting the Afghanis.
