Take it back. slider should always open...just remember to remove any after market stuff like overclocking kernels...that might void your warranty.
got my Pre Plus from Verizon at the end of may... caught an awesome deal... I was eligible with verizon for an upgrade, and price for the phone with a 2-year contract was $50, but since I was at the end of a 2-year contract I was due a $50 credit, so I got the Pre Plus for $FREE.99!!! Plus, Verizon had the wireless mobile broadband service add-on special for FREE...
still getting used to this thing... some spots at my job, I get TERRIBLE talking reception, so you know I'm getting ZILCH on the 3G data reception on those areas... but the youtube is awesome, the fluidity of how the apps run is awesome... since I got mine later than most folks, the app catalog is pretty cool for me... I just downloaded the Assassin's Creed free demo and it runs quite well...
the only thing I did NOT like is when I first installed the free Facebook app, I must've hit something incorrectly and the damned app added all my Facebook friends to my Contacts on the Pre Plus... and I have about 1100 Facebook friends... so I had to delete the Facebook profile so all the Contacts would be removed, then add a new profile and configure it to not add Facebook contacts to the Pre's contacts.
I'm loving it...

Did everyone give away their Palm Pre??? LOL Mannnnnnn. With all the top dudes at Palm jetting for Apple, I'm considering trying the Samsung Epic. I don't know though.
I am as well, but Palm is about to drop a WebOS 2.0 smartphone.
just so you know sprint will not be getting the new palm phone about to drop in Nov..Dec. Tech and specs are unknown but it will be GSM and CDMA. other phones to follow. Looks like Verizon and AT&T to get the first batch. perhaps a Verizon exclusive. i'm not leaving Sprint so i will most likely get a Epic....

stop spreading false information. Do you work for Palm or HP? Dont you think HP will try to get the new phone on as many carriers as possible? Why would they leave Sprint out? Sprint always had a terrific relationship with Palm.

Me. But I heard that a touchscreen WebOS device is coming out in late 2011. WebOS is still a more user-friendly operating system.
Im on it got an epic, miss my pre.. If they come out with something worth getting and works on sprint im have to get back on board
