Oscar and Hopkins took PED's?

Great Article... I wonder how long it took for him to write that. Low blow at B-Hop at the end..I know he was trying to prove a point... but the scenario was much different than the Pacman situation.

Regarding Hops, I never thought he was doing anything but the writer does have a point about Hops' "agelessness". Now, I wonder and wouldn't even be surprised if Hops got caught doing something. I think the article mostly proved that what was done to Pac could be done to a lot of guys as far as tarnishing them and branding them guilty without evidence.

If it's the way that guy says, it sounds like everybody is doing it so how can a guy like Hops or someone else defend himself if truly attacked. By the time he takes all these tests his name is run through the mud and the press releases already went out linking him to steroids. Kind of like any "alleged" rapist that gets his face plastered all over the news and is in essence declared guilty before a trial only to later be declared innocent.

The reason why I said it is a bit difference because of the reasoning behind the PED argument...about how you can see increase in speed, endurance, and strength of Pacman as he has gone UP in weight. It is counter of what SHOULD happen. I also get what he stated about consistent dropoffs after the ages of 28-30. However, we have seen athletes who stay in peak condition 24-7 all year... be able to perform at a peak level until their 40s.. Michael Jordan comes to mind. Bhop just seems to be slowly losing a step and not having a rapid dropoff like you would expect from someone his age. However, he is KNOWN to be a serious gym junkie who never stops training.

However, as you said, I wouldnt be surprised by anything..

But I still think the shit with Pacman is different especially given the fact that his camp lied on the record about not taking blood less than 30 days before a fight etc. The point about the superstitious nature of some athletes is true....but some of the things with Pacman go beyond superstition and are just suspicious....there is legitimate smoke there with Pacman.

That article was really good though man...thanks....

The Pacman analogy is really weak when you consider the whole picture. Bernard has never relied on his speed and power to win as Pacquiao does. He's always been a more cerebral (often dirty) fighter and that wouldn't be affected by going from middleweight to light heavyweight.

I wouldn't be surprised either if he was but if he was asked to take blood tests and refused, I'd be real suspicious. I don't think people that have defended Manny Pacquiao have given the same respect to his detractors as they expect to be given to themselves. The demand isn't what made a lot of people go "What's up with Manny?", it was the response.
