OPEN LETTER to the SOL Mods!

SOL started out as a forum where mature discussions took place everyday without the usual off color feedback from the other board. That level needs to be retained. I'm watching this forum sink to new lows day by day.

The SOL forum was for the ladies to enjoy and have discussions among themselves. Not many ladies are supporting the forum and I'm not sure if more were posting it would be any different. However there seems to be a element present that crosses the line and acts irresponsibly. Don't blame it on the guys posting ladies the blame belongs to both genders.

Name calling, baiting threads, and the bashing of and by both men and women needs to cease. SOL is not BGOL and those posting here need to remember that.

You Mods that were assigned to SOL were given the control to police the forum as you see fit. It's time you started using those powers.

Cut 'em some slack.

No more coffee for you :)

Anyways MB appreciate the post :)

If the SOL mods began to regulate hardcore there would be quite a few people being put on vacations.

This forum used to be about real posts. It has become about baiting and bashing. :smh: What would you suggest we as Mods do to regulate the behaviour that goes on?

I have asked the ladies what we could do. I have received some replies, its been asked on the board a few times and each time the result is more arguments....its never ending

I am no ones babysitter. I am here to make sure that things run smoothly.

I have no issue with hardcore debates in here. In fact I welcome it. However, its now all about getting under someone's skin.

It is a difficult job we ask when we ask people to enforce rules and regulations. Without the rules of law most societies would fall quickly into a state of total chaos and disorder. The forum we visit was provided to give people a hassle free environment in which we could chat, discuss all types of topics and communicate freely without the hassle of the main board.

With the current mentality of a lot of the members in the main board it was a welcome opportunity to be able to discuss freely and communicate openly on many different issues without a threat of ocking and the asinine and juvenile taunts that are part and parcel of the main board. We have an opportunity to interact with people from all parts of the world and share our opinions freely on whatever topics we choose to discuss.

Now nothing is perfect and of course there will be comments and posts that we do not all agree with but the onus is on you the individual to ignore antagonizing and stupid behavior. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I can not and do not expect anyone to try to force theirs down my throat sideways and I will try to reciprocate.

They are some people who are overly sensitive, unable to handle criticism and others who are unable to communicate without offending people but as long as they do not break the stated rules then are they guilty of an offense. NO they are not and should not be penalized for being human and thus flawed like us all.

We are a product of our social and physical environs and the attitudes we have are shaped by our experiences and our ability to learn from our mistakes. The mods do not have to participate but they do and I thank them for it even those who abandon ship when we veer off course in our journey.

This board would not have gotten to where it was without participation from everyone even the haters and even though they may add nothing of value at least they participated.
