Chea grew up in the Bronx and attended Sacred Heart Grade School until her family relocated to Los Angeles in 1985, where she attended grade school in Inglewood, CA. Walter Reed Junior High School. In 1992, Chea returned to the Bronx to live with her father. She attended Lehman High School for her junior year and continued her interest in cheerleading by joining the Booster Squad. Although her undeniable charm won her many friends, Chea's heart was still in Los Angeles. At the end of the school year, she returned to California where she graduated from North Hollywood High School.She continued her educational aspirations by attending UCLA where she studied journalism and communications. These pursuits would serve her well as she turned her attention towards a career in the entertainment industry. Her accomplishments include appearances on "The Jenny Jones Show," "Blind Date," and "The Fifth Wheel," as well as the Van Halen music video for, "I Can't Stop Loving You."
Note about Chea's death... Chea died just past midnight on Friday, January 28, 2005. She had been admitted to the emergency room after being found very ill in her apartment. When her family arrived, they were told she wouldn't make it throught the night. When they were first informed, there wasn't a clear answer as to her cause of death, so they had an autopsy performed, which revealed her cause of death to be multiple organ failure due to alcohol and drug abuse. There was also some indication of cervical cancer, but it was not elaborated on. It was all very sudden for Chea's family and friends, as she seemed mostly healthy in the weeks before she died. In retrospect, though many moments in Chea's life were troubled; She has brought her brightness, her fun-loving personality, all her beauty and gifts, and has blessed us all in her lifetime and more. She truly will be missed. In the months and weeks before Chea died, Chea returned to her Christian faith, Came to a family Christmas party, met her nephew for the first time, went on a field trip with her niece, sent her estranged dad a birthday card, spoiled her pet Boston Terrier Benni Sherman, and spent a little time with people who love her. Chea was laid to rest on Friday, February 4, 2005 at Forest Lawn Cemetary in Hollywood Hills.

I realize that Chea has done some things in her life that may cause people to speak or think about her in a demoralizing way...please allow me to remind you that Chea was a person; someone's daughter, sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter, aunt. Though she may have made some bad choices in life, she was loved by all of these people who continue to mourn her. We are deeply saddened by her death and the fact that she was unhappy in her life...as are so many other women who regard themselves as less than worthy. It is a tragedy that she did realize how truly beautiful she was... just as God created her. Perhaps she would have valued herself so much more, and would not have died at the age of 28, having left behind a legacy of self distruction and degredation. Before Chea died, she did become born again by accepting Christ into her heart. It is knowing this that helps me accept the fact that she is gone because I know that we will one day meet again in Heaven. I only wish that she had been able to experience true love, acceptance and joy here on Earth. So to anyone who has cared, or wondered, I thank you for your concern, and I ask you on behalf of myself and my family, and out of respect; Please do not any longer regard Chea (or any other woman) in these negative ways. The next thing to do would be to get a Bible (New international Version is easiest to read & understand-perhaps start with the new testament) Find a Bible-based Church that fits you and start to attend regularly, surround yourself with other Christians, and pray (talk to God) daily. He listens (and he speaks to you), He cares. You are important to Him. Give Him a chance, and You'll be amazed at how your life can be transformed...
