This is the first thing that pops into my mind when I think of 1986. I've watched this movie probably 100 times.

i was in like 3rd or 4th grade at the time.....................cried like a bih.....

had that been Megatron dying and him passing on the mantel to Starscream.....that shit woulda have went a whole lot differently.
Starscream probably would have been sawing Megatron's chest open while he was giving his speech......lol
