I beat Tyson... in like 1995 :hmm: But after that it was easy.

Montana to Rice is the only thing I've seen beat the blitz consistently tho...

FJP, I didnt mean to hijack your thread and I do remember the hold Tyson Punch Out, I was just saying how hard Tyson is on Fight Night and how it reminded of me of Punch Out.

Mike is easy once you get past that first barrage. But I remember it being a rare thing back in the day tho. But after I did it the first time ever since believe or not it was actually harder for me to lose than to beat him. When you get the natural reflex after the eye flash its a wrap.

On tecmo I may have seen/done a blitz outrun MAYBE once but I believe that to be MUCH harder. Some of you are confusing Tecmo with Super Tecmo....with the original game if they had the blitz your ass is going down. The lateral buys you an extra 3/4 of a second.

But Ninja Gaiden 1 I put up there with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...NG2 was hard too but I remember beating that.

ah shit...someone brought up legend of kage....man thats the second game i ever got for nes...after the original super mario/duck hunt/world class track meet cartridge...that game was tough on all levels..man wtf is going on...let me hook up my laptop to my new flat screen and get busy on the emulators one time:cool:

I guess cause i never used that code that gets u to tyson with 2 knocks against u already so when he drops u, u gotta retire.

I always faught him with a clean slate, and you have a better chance to win like that. the nigga Blinks b4 every swing damn near.... look

Search the internet on how to beat Mike... The nigga punches at the exact same time each round... I can beat the blitz even though I think that is tougher then smacking Mike around...​
 
Old school video games compared to today's crop were hard as fuck. I never beat Mike in Punch Out, and could never beat Contra without the Konomi code. Fuck it, I only beat Zelda for the first time a few years ago by saving my state with the rom/emulator on my laptop. Those games were fucking hard. Today's games seem to last only a few days before cats have them beat. you were a bad motherfucker back then if you could flip some of those hard games.

im splitting time between Front Mission 1 (this game is bananas for a nes game)

And Zelda a Link to the past.


I love emulation!!!!

Im using a xbox360 usb game pad, lol
 
the 2 nes video games i could never beat even with game genie: faxanadu and master blaster...faxanadu i couldnt get past the second level...master blaster the third one....still pisses me off to this day:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Kung Fu-for some reason I couldn't beat that dude at then end I think 4-4.

Mario 3-Maybe I never tried hard enough,doing the cheats.

That car game that was an arcade game but came out on nes,where your a truck going around a track for the trophies but the arcade version if you turned to much it would turn you around in the wrong direction-I cant think of the name Rally Race?

I could of probably beat the games but remember there was NO SAVE,just codes for some and if you were really into it PAUSE,go to sleep and play in the morning.

tyson was a bitch to beat even with game genie...with game genie id at least last the distance but lose but then it got to the point where id knock him down like 2 times in every round and he'd get the decision...a nigga used to be pissed...i nearly snapped my controller on those occasions..the day i did beat tyson i was like :dance:

mario 3 was a cakewalk to beat compared to mario 2....shit i beat super mario world on super nintendo before i beat mario 2 lol
 
Man I dont know if as a grown ass man I should even be proud but Man fuck that shit...I finally beat Mike today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........jag that shit was still hard, caught like 15 ass whoopings before I won..


And that Tecmo shit I tried it like 50 times I beat the blitz one time on that crossing shit... with a running play I didnt beat that shit at all but I cant lie beating Mike a got a nigga:dance::lol:

Golgo 13 drove me nuts. I got all the way to the laast level but was never able to shot out all the red lights.
Ninja Gaiden I could get through one one man running the whole time.
 
If you watch Piston Honda and Sandman, their moves are almost identical to Tyson....after watching my boy, i picked that up, i was just pissed you couldnt knock him out, i got 3 super punch stars on that night and it aint phase him, won by decision.....i'll take it. The Tecmo blitz, i just used Dan the Man with the dolphins, nuff said. The ball went....literally, went, peewff, and clayton or duper was down the sideline.
 
beat Tyson on my 2nd try back then...now Mr. Sandman and the Super Macho Man were the motherfuckers
