Is it a dead computer, or did the drive just die? If it;s a dead computer, you data should still be good on the drive. You would be able to hook it up to a usb to 2.5 ide/sata adaptor to copy data over new system. What programs are you looking for? PM me for further assistance.. Also, I can also explain to you how I torrent..

Dead computer. Got a virus and the shit won't get past the start screen. I'll ask y'all how to deal with that later.

I'll definitely keep you in mind because I got a lot of stuff on the drive and didn't get a chance to move it before it clapped out

@God-Of-War-420. Thanks for your help, slick. I'm back up in action. I haven't been able to download since August. Fuxked me up because my TV won't play any XVID videos or any AVI movies, and just my luck, whenever I look for movies I feel like watching on my hard drive, boom it's one of those ones that I can't watch.

Or, last week I felt like watching The Good The Bad and The Ugly and it came up not only in a format that wouldn't play on my TV (there's got to be a downloadable bypass for Samsung) but it was a 700 MB file, and I'm sorry I can't bring myself to watch a little quality bullshit even if it's a movie I love

In the past, I would just download a new version and delete the old one, but today I felt like watching Out of Sight (Clooney, J-Lo) and FUCK, it's XVID.

Thanks to you I downloaded another version and I'm watching it now

Man, what's why I may be against getting a 44TB drive that they have out now. If that breaks down and you don't have a backup, then it's suicide watch time.

Man, I'm looking at my 12 TB backup still in the box sitting on my ammo boxes. I need to back my shit up soon.

I'm going to spend a couple weeks downloading better copies of shit I already have, getting rid of the XVID and 700 mb movies and then back my shit up.

If my shit dies, I might step in front of a big wheel or something (yeah, that big wheel. I'm not gonna kill myself lol)

My next HDD is always bigger than my current. I usually go up 2 to 4 TB at a time.

For example, once I get close to filling up a 10 TB drive, then my next drive is 12 TB. I’ll copy all the data from the 10 to the 12, which now the 10 becomes the back up and 12 is my active.

I may even have about 1 to 2 TB left on the 10, so I can still back up to it if need be.

My next drive is going to be 16 TB.

I have Western exHD, they work pretty well; those Seagates are trash, I remember reading all of the crashes that the Seagates had: these were stories from the bowels of Hell. I'm surprised Seagate left those customer reactions up on their site~~~this was years ago I read this, though. I vowed never to get another Seagate in my life so now I just roll with Western, I haven't had one die on me yet~"knock on terabytes" ~I have about three or four of them. My last Western was 6TB, like you~~ I think I'm going upgrade to 12, that sounds like a good number. Any number higher than that then I'll be paranoid as fuk.

Bro. I had two Seagate hard drives die on me within the warranty, same with Maxtor and they told me, "Go fuck yourself. We ain't giving you shit."

It's WD all day till I die for me. A Seagate hard drive could be 39 cents and I wouldn't buy that mother fucker. I would trust Trump not to ever lie again before I would trust a Seagate hard drive :giggle:

You need some better media players.. Everything of quality on the net is either .264 or .265 in mkv container..

Amazon.com: Android TV Box, Original TX3 Mini Android 10.0 TV Box 2GB RAM 16GB ROM Quad Core 64 Bits Support WiFi 100M LAN Smart TV Box 4K 3D HDR IPTV Media Player : Electronics
Docooler X4 Android 11.0 Smart UHD 4K Amlogic S905X4 2.4G5G WiFi AV1 H.265 VP9 Decoding with Remote Control - Walmart.com

Using the above as examples,, you can plug in an external to watch all of the 1080p/4K tv/movies that you download and store.. I have north of 60+ terabytes of collected media..

I plug directly into my TV. I have an 85" Samsung 8000 series. When I had my 75" 9000 series it played everything, but this 8000 series, though it is bigger, doesn't play all the files that the 9000 series does.

I will check out the options you dropped

It took me a long time to be honest with myself and admit that all of my collections of media was only valuable to me. My CD collection, dvd collection, tape collection, music file collection, internet porn/movie collection all are worthless and honestly were a huge waste of time even worrying about. I probably got 30 to 40 porn dvd's and no dvd player. I got tapes no tape player. I got drives full of movies I will never again watch in life. I use to burn cds full of movie files just to save them. I have never watch one that I did that. LOL

I do the same, always step up. Im running a 16TB in my NAS box right now, its got maybe 5TB of space left. I also have a 10TB in there for backup.

I hear you. I think more than anything else it's the time that you spent compiling all of that. Even if you never go back to it, you can.

I've got about 9 terabytes of movies and TV shows on my hard drive. This morning I just happened to be in the mood to watch Out of Sight with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez and BOOM, it was there.

I didn't have to go searching for the DVD even though it is likely on my shelf in my office, but it's DVD not Blu-ray rip, and that higher quality is so noticeable on this big ass TV

If I were to lose all of this it would hurt because I spent a lot of time compiling it

I should probably get one of these. My T95 has problems with some files, mainly 265. And for the life of me I can't figure out how to update Kodi. I'm reading that my box can't be updated anymore so maybe it's time. VLC works well tho.
One thing for sure, you d/l a 30G copy of a movie and play it through these boxes and you will be amazed.
