Melba Moore has finally received the recognition she deserves for her hard work in music, film, theater and television. Moore was given the Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 10th.

Marietta Canty was an actress and community activist. Her first appearance was on Broadway in 1933 and she went on to be in 40 films but only received credit for 19. You may have remembered her in Father of the Bride 1950 and the sequel Father’s Little Diveidend 1951. Canty was also on Rebel Without A Cause 1955.
