I'm tired of fucking with Pep Boys in Charlotte on Tryon Street.

The manager Leslie Woods got a fucking tick where her head is always jerking like the bitch got Parkinsons.

Plus that cave beast comes off real funny style on black folks.

Same here. I went to one of those franchise oil spots, and the guy says, "Pop the hood, I need to show you something." That's when I knew fuckery was afoot. Then he goes on about oil blends in today's engines, and a 39.99 oil change would be 76.99. I told him no thanks and drove to the dealer. Told the dealership guy the story, and he laughed his ass off. They do it for 34.99.

Yeah, those oil shops are sum shady companies!! Our company went on this money saving kick one year and all the cars were taken to jif lube. Everything was going good for 2yrs and then the cars started having sum serious engine issues.. Long story short, they hadnt changed oil in any of the cars for 2yrs.. Just banked to the money. I dont know what happened to the deal they had, it just stopped and it got quiet!! Anyway, be careful when dealing with those oil shops..

car:
150.00 to have oil changed at lube stop

380.00 to have oil changed at dealer

my truck though i have to pay the 460.00 at the dealership

They got YouTube videos with news stations busting those places for scamming.

My garage.

5 gallon Mobil 1 is less than $25 at Walmart Supercenter. Plus $4 filter. $30 dollars per car and an hour is all I need.

Was chatting with a dude in line at Costco and he had like 10 5-gallon bottles of Mobil 1. He told me his household has 4 cars and he tries to buy for the year and he and his son does all the changes.

Wal-Mart is the only place I buy my oil and filters. Been buying from them for 12yrs. I pay around 17 for synthetic blend sometimes its around $14.
Since watching "13th" and learning that Wal-Mart was apart of A.L.E.C. theu havent made a dime off me.

I start buying my oil from Amazon.

Then I watched "13th" again a week ago and saw that ExxonMobil was apart of A.L.E.C. too... now I gotta find another oil manufacturer, I was a Mobil 1 man exclusively.

The full synthetic is only about 3 dollars more....and Wal Mart filters are always a couple of bucks cheaper as well...

Could do it myself and should... But I usually go to a local chain or have them do it at the mechanic/garage when I put the car in for service if it's due.
I hate the up sell at the chain and caught them once trying to get me to pay for fuel injector shit that my mechanic had just did a month earlier. Also some dudes used to always be trying to have me pay cash at a discount.... So they would pocket it... No receipt of service/payment... Which of course would mean if my engine seized 24 hours later I couldn't prove they touched the car (don't go to that one anymore).
Shit when I first got my current car I was going in every 3k miles like I did on my older car until I read in my manual that that shit was raised to every 5k miles now.

Buy the 5 quart jug of oil, and the filter at Walmart, or wait for one of the frequent sales at Auto Zone (so that you can get the better quality of oil).
Many of the shops that do Oil Changes will only charge around $20, to do an oil change with customer supplied oil and filter.
