*** OFFICIAL Wrestlemania XXVIII Thread: John Cena vs. The Rock ***

Wow....they let Cena lose to a part-time wrestler. I thought for sure that the Rock was going to put Cena over. WOW. I'm actually pretty shocked at the outcome.

i was thinking this shit was going be epic iron man style both people barely moving type shit

yea i was expecting stone cold- like blood and the fight spill out in the parking lot and they start beating each other with a tire iron

bro the would NOT let cena beat rock.... rock is considered a legend from back when wrestling was at its peak in the late 90s... they lil Disney channel star cena cannot compare... cena had NO CHOICE but to be a heel... them fans especially the 23 and older crowd will not pic cena over rock.

I was thinking that this was going to be another "passing of the torch" match.

This setup was almost a facsimile of Wrestlemania 18 when Hogan passed the torch to the Rock.

I just think that it makes the TOP DOG look really bad when he loses to a part-time guy.

Yeah the WWE saw record lows in revenue for the past year, they had no choice but to beg him to come back.

Overkill, they need to scale back tremendously in terms of PPV. They've killed the cycle of fued building. Kill some of the tv programming & tour dates. If they went back to:

Royal Rumble
Wrestlemania
King of the Ring (tournament)
Summerslam
Survivor Series (moved back to Tuesday night)

Maybe incorporate Great American Bash, Halloween Havoc, TLC/Extreme Rules into a "Clash of the Champions" type deal or cheap PPE...they can go back to a productive level.

This was nowhere near Hogan/Rock and Cena has had the torch for 6 years now. It doesn't make Cena look bad because people were already sick of him, if anything the loss gives him something to fight for.

i could of sworn back in the late 90s/early 2000 WM went from 7-12am...

They don't have the roster to pull that off anymore.
