Overeem was a beast in StrickForce but I'm just not sure how will do against the best of the best in the UFC.​

Overeem wins easily.
Overeem been doing this shit for years.

he is just as big and strong as Lesnar.

Overeem! He just doesn't have size he also has SKILL. I can't wait for this fight! 1st round, ground and pound.

Lesnar unless Overeem makes him gas.

There really is no way to tell on this one. I'm honestly not up on Overeems wrestling..and you have to be a wrestler to have the tdd to stop Brock from fucking over you...But Brock is a fighter that has a real problem taking shots to the face...speaking of Brock..at this point its just a money thing because there is no way in hell he will ever get that belt again.

i don't know much about overeem. but after watching those vids posted brock is about to get his ass whooped. he just can't match the speed or agility of overeem.

Fight is this Friday.

Even at 100%, Lesnar does not have the chin to beat Alistair, imo.

Brock rushes in for the TD, he doesn't get it, 1.3 seconds later, the Reem is still palming the back of Brocks head and because it's MMA, it will be with both hands and those knees will start comming up, taking years away from Brocks life.

This is gonna be a serious ass-whoopin.

Y'all need to look at Overeem's history, dude last decent win was in 2006 against Sergei Kharitonov as a heavyweight, but then lost to him later. Dude was just an okay LHW and I doubt much has changed as a HW, especially since he's just been getting cupcake match ups.

This is more likely what to expect with him actually fighting a decent fighter

Also, Diaz vs Cerrone should be good.

Overeen weighted in at 263 lbs shredded.
Brock weighted in at 266 lbs looking over weight.

it is obvious Overeen had a much better training camp than Brock.

I'm predicting 2 round knockout for Overeen.

Brock's mma career comes to an end tonight.

Brock is cool but I think Overeem is gonna take it. The old Overeem that got beat but Shogun and Liddell has gotten better.

I think I am going out to the bar and see it. I like watching live instead of online.

I don't like the Diaz brothers at all.

best fight will be Cerrone Vs Diaz they have almost the exact same skill set...great on the ground...great on the feet...tough as nails...I'm a huge fan of both fighters

As much as i can't stand Brock, he's gonna win this fight. He's going to take Overeem to the ground, lay on him and get the decision.

I think that Lesnar/Overeem fight is gonna be alot closer than people think. I've been flipping back and forth on this one. I hope Overeem brings his "A" game. If he doesn't or if he's tenative (like he did in his last fight), Lesnar is gonna GNP him to death.

lesnar is a wrestler with not finishing moves whatsoever, his game is takedowns and pound and ground, when you're fighting somebody your own size, you lose a lot of the edge.

Overeem is the more polish of the 2 by the classic mile, lesnar is gonna gas up as usual, let's wait and see.

His downfall came after his serious illness -- which wasn't even corrected when he came back too early. If he is healthy, he wins. When he came back, people should have known something was wrong when he was smaller and was talking that "best shape ever" bullshit.

A 300 pound athlete isn't supposed to be in a near-death state and fight in a top level competition eight to nine months later....then fight again in four months. Not being able to train is bad enough, but not being able to eat? And he was on the shelf from October to February?

The smart move would be to at least put in four months getting your strength, size and endurance back. Four months off = four months on. Then take at least four months to train specifically for the fight. Eight months minimum. That's minimum. Ideally I say take a year.

I think he came back too fast...Dana wanted this fight tho....

when he ran away from Cains strikes that was telling...I just don't think Lesnar is a fighter...

if he lands his early takedowns he will probably win but let Reem stuff the early attempts ...

Sure thing, bro. Yeah - it's the annual New Year's card and their first PPV on a Friday in many years, so it kind of sneaked up on everyone. Last year's New Year's card happened to fall on SATURDAY, JANUARY 1ST, 2011. That was one of the fight of the year candidates in that 5-round war between EDGAR / MAYNARD ... came to a draw. They fought another war months back with EDGAR pulling off the miraculous come-from-behind knockout. Those 155'ers always deliver. Damn.

Gotta go with the Reem. His chin is the only question mark which is why I would make JDS a favorite against him.
Brock looked hungry and eager to rematch Cain, which speaks volumes of his character, but I will be very surprised if Brock wins by any form.

So many questions will be answered by this main event, as it's still sort of a PICK 'EM for many of us. Overeem has a suspect chin and cardio issues. He hasn't faced a fellow beast like Lesnar before. Lesnar last fought in October and July 2010 against CAIN and SHANE ... and both times he got roughed up and beaten down. CAIN defeated him, and he had to pull off a come from behind victory and the submission over SHANE. Where's his head/heart at? He hasn't faced anyone with A's credentials before. DREAM / K-1 / STRIKEFORCE. The Reem is a beast, and it's been 14 months since we've last seen LESNAR ... is he still hungry ... what's his cardio like, has his stand-up improved and CAN he take a punch better now? He collected himself against CARWIN, but got embarassed by VELASQUEZ. We will see
