Look, for those who have not seen the movie, it's best to probably stay the fuck out. Somebody's bound to spoil some shit. (I'm not)...

You've been warned!!!!!

What the fuck did I just watch! Curious to hear other members reactions as well as how they would rank this among other Nolan movies. And please, no spoilers for now...

Confusing as hell initially (for me at least). Gets better the more you think about it & upon subsequent watches

Usually, for the first time watching a movie, I'll go in and just try to enjoy the movie for what it is. That's where I fucked up. I should've tried to analyze the details throughout. I'm still confused as shit as to what I watched.

The concept of the movie was interesting, but there are just so many questions.

When they were in the storage vault and it cut straight to the hotel room scene...I was like wtf.

Not mine but from the comments of the video above

SATOR
AREPO
TENET
OPERA
ROTAS

is a mysterious Latin inscription of unknown origin. It is a square and can be read forwards, backwards, downwards and upwards. Sator is the bad guy Arepo is mentioned as character off screen Tenet well that's the title Opera refers to the opera house from the prologue Rotas is the name of the vault organisation. The whole sentence is a bigger palindrome in which the word Tenet holds the central position.

So without clicking on any of these lil YouTube videos in here or reading none of the shit y’all niggas done said. I just wanna give my thoughts.

First of all I recognize the palindrome in the movie title name. A palindrome is a word that can be read and spelled forward and backwards.

So after watching the movie they tried to bring that concept to life through time. They made time a palindrome. Everything that happens forward through time happens backwards through time and the characters are able to experience life forward and backwards to uncover clues that bring the story forward.

The look and feel of the movie was great. However, I’m not too sold on the palindrome time concept yet and that has nothing to do with the movie being confusing. But I feel kinda cheated, like it was a cheap ass way to fill the time repeating same scenes to progress the plot.

Im still not quite understanding how time works in this movie and how they finally come to an end because I guess you can say the whole movie is a palindrome if you play it backwards right?

I’ll be watching again soon to fill in some holes I may be missing. I like thought provoking movies but I hate when they try hard to be that.

With that said the concept and the movie is still pretty cool.

Ok I thought it was just me.

The new blu-ray copies have much better sound....and video. The HDCAMs were ok on my phone and laptop but was noticeably blurry on a bigger screen.....

The one I watched a couple weeks back was much better than the early cams

Good movie, if you don't mind exposition, but with a few plot holes. Like how do you drive a car when you're inverted. The car never went through the turnstile yet it behaved like it did just because the protagonist was driving it.

Even in the movie they said don't think to much about it.

So when you reverse time then set yourself back forward, are you suppose to just wait it out until you can replace your current self in the timeline?

1. You aren't reversing time. You would invert time. There is a difference.
2. When you go through a turnstile, you must see your mirror image returning. That is when you close the loop. You would be in charge of closing the loop from your perspective.
So when you reverse time then set yourself back forward, are you suppose to just wait it out until you can replace your current self in the timeline?

I watched it last night. It felt like watching Inception mixed with some M.Knight Shalaman movie.
