You don't touch Simmons. People wanna get on him cause he can't shoot but you find me another 6'10 with speed, defense rebounding ability and the court vision he has. And he's getting much more aggressive offensively. A jump shot will come. Davis needs to be honest with his intentions to sign or not. Dont hamstring the franchise like that they've been good to you. You gonna leave let them know so they can get something in return.

Tim Hardaway Jr. has enjoyed a breakout season for the Knicks, taking on the scoring load with Kristaps Porzingis recovering from his torn ACL while rounding out his game in other areas.
His improving efficiency and playmaking makes his contract look more and more reasonable, and with a potential regression and monster free agency looming, the Knicks could be inclined to listen to offers for their stud shooting guard. Here are a few directions they could go in if they decide to trade Hardaway...
Tim Hardaway Jr. and Frank Ntilikina for Andrew Wiggins
This is about as wild as the Knicks could go with a Hardaway Jr. package. Giving up a dependable piece and prospect to take a shot on Andrew Wiggins and his mega-deal doesn't fall into either the patient, "trust the process" rebuild or the Kevin Durant-Kawhi Leonard-Kemba Walker-etc. sweepstakes play. This essentially locks down a piece if the Knicks don't want to put all their cards in the draft or free agency. Whether Wiggins continues to underwhelm defensively and only marginally improve on the other end or finally blossom into the No. 1 pick Minnesota expected will decide if it's close to worth it.
Tim Hardaway Jr. for Goran Dragic
A simple swap that could entice the Knicks in a couple of ways. First, Goran Dragic's contract is a year shorter than Hardaway Jr.'s. Secondly, his game would likely mesh better with some of the marquee free agents New York is pursuing. Until THJ shows significant strides on defense, he's better suited as one of the primary scoring options on his team, and he's far more effective with the ball in his hands than without it. On a team with Porzingis and say, Kevin Durant, that might not play out as well as the Knicks would like. Dragic also represents a stronger win-now commitment, and could play mentor to New York's crop of developing guards. For Miami, this is a deal that makes them more athletic and more explosive on the offensive end, while injecting more youth in their rotation.
Tim Hardaway Jr. and a 2nd round pick for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Kyle Kuzma
The Lakers haven't gotten off to the start they hoped for, and a shake-up like this could be what they're looking for. Hardaway Jr. would give them the legitimate three-point threat they desperately need, as well as someone who can be the focal point of an offense for small stretches. This is the most ideal situation for the Knicks to jump on, getting an expiring contract in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and an intriguing young piece in Kyle Kuzma.
Tim Hardaway Jr. for Jon Leuer, Ish Smith and Reggie Bullock
One of the more modest deals the Knicks could pull, perhaps with a sweetner of a second-round pick from Detroit. Both Ish Smith's and Reggie Bullock's deals are coming off the books this summer, with the option to lock down the latter on an extension. Bullock has developed into a nice 3-and-D wing, while Leuer, the only long-term deal involved, would be a helpful floor-spacer off the bench and paired with Porzingis. Smith can service as a steadying veteran point guard and take the likes of Ntilikina and Allonzo Trier under his wing. Detroit would be plenty enticed with the idea of adding Hardaway Jr.'s outside game to their interior powerhouse of Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond.

Like the Lakers deal, an expiring deal and intriguing prospect would head to the Knicks. This deal would mean a return back to the team New York had traded Hardaway Jr. to in the past, and a chance for him to continue his evolution as a lead scorer without the lights of Madison Square Garden constantly scrutinizing. The Hawks' stockpile of wing prospects could mean they'd be willing to part with DeAndre' Bembry, who is similar to Hardaway Jr. in build with a higher ceiling on his all-around impact. LOS ANGELES — Tim Hardaway Jr. can no longer say emphatically the Knicks are better than their record, calling it “a tough pill to swallow.”
The Knicks entered Staples Center against the LeBron-less Lakers with the third-worst record in the NBA at 9-29. Their defense allows 115.9 points per game (27th) and opponents are shooting 48 percent (28th). Billed as a defensive coach after his Miami/Memphis stints, David Fizdale said his team worked for two days at UCLA exclusively on defensive drills.
“(Coach Fizdale) always tell us to stay in the moment, and we are who we are right now,” Hardaway Jr. said at Friday’s morning shootaround at UCLA. “We make mistakes. We miss rotations in games we should’ve won, we made ridiculous decisions as players in those games which caused us to lose. We are where we are. We gotta take it on the chin and move forward.
“It’s obviously a tough pill to swallow. You definitely want to try to win as many games as possible. Not one of us got here by losing ballgames for our respective ballclubs when we were in college or in high school. Everybody was winners. Everybody wanted to win. Just to be in this situation is tough, but it builds character and matures you as a ballplayer and it makes you relish and appreciate you’re in this opportunity and in the NBA.”
After losses in Milwaukee, Utah and Denver, the Knicks are 1-13 in their past 14 games and still have Portland and Golden State left on this six-game “Road To Zion” Western swing.
Zion Williamson or R.J. Barrett. The worst three teams will share a 14 percent chance at the top pick and 27.5 percent at a top 2.
“I’m pretty sure if they were put in our position they wouldn’t want to feel this way,” Hardaway Jr. “Everybody has their own opinions. I’m not here to tell them what to think or what not to think. I’m just here to tell them what type of person I am and I know that it goes with the rest of the 14 ballplayers on this ballclub.
“I understand where they’re coming from but did they play the game of basketball, do they know like what we go through as a professional athlete? It doesn’t feel good to us but we understand off the court where they’re coming from when it comes to record and when it comes to percentage-wise (in the lottery) and what you can get and what you can’t get. We understand that. But that’s for the front office to figure out.”
The key job for Fizdale is keeping morale up amid the losing, and focusing on becoming a better defensive team. The Knicks are 0-8 since defensive center Mitchell Robinson started missing games with a sprained ankle and he is a game-time decision vs. the Lakers.

The Knicks stand as the youngest team in the NBA and normally feature three rookies heavily in the rotation – Kevin Knox, Robinson and Allonzo Trier. Hardaway Jr. thinks the rookies have enough seasoning to be better for the season’s second half. The Knicks hit the seasonal midpoint in Golden State on Tuesday.
“These rookies really aren’t rookies anymore,” Hardaway Jr. said. “They’ve played numerous amount of games and a lot of minutes. They’re more comfortable now as we all can see that. This second half of the season is big for them and their development, personally. But for our team it’s also huge just so we could start this second half of the season on the right foot and make a push and build everybody’s confidence up.”
Fizdale, the eternal optimist, also figures the defense is going to tighten in the second 41 games. After all, it can’t get worse.
“You don’t like to see it because you’ve been part of good basketball defenses,” Fizdale said of his coaching career. “At the same time, I understand it’s not easy to do. The guys we had that were executing those defenses at the time, some of those guys are Hall of Famers, All-Star guys, defensive players of the years. The patience I have to have picking this stuff up and understand it is a little bit different than those groups.
“I think you can improve a guy and finding what kind of coverage works for a big guy. Sliding your feet is something you can always improve at. [Thursday] and [Friday] our whole practice plan was defensive drill-work. Just hammering it, hammering it. At some point those habits will kick in and the whole thing will slow down for them and I’m hoping that will take place over the second half.”

You take Simmons giving you have a proven big in Embiid. That's the difference. AD and Embiid won't work together.
@dtownsfinest saw Luca against the Sixers. He's the real deal. Dennis Smith Jr. Looks like he's taken a step back. Jordan sure doesn't protect the rim like he use too. It's time for Carlisle ass ta fuckin go. 
Curry top 3 in the mvp voting and doing what we are used to. As a whole tho teams have figured out how to play them. They are not blowing teams out anymore but they should still win the ship as long as Curry stay healthy.

I'm 100% positive about that. Embiid needs to be on that left block 80% of the time. AD needs that space more than 20%. And, if you trade Simmons, who the hell runs the point? I love TJ but I don't trust that little Honkey with 37 minutes a night. And you have to find the right combination of Dr. Phil pills for Fultz I don't trust him.

Embid is a MONSTER but he has shown he shrinks against above average defense I heel like he would thrive with AD in the blocks.
