He has the skill set, but physically he has a ways to go. It's hard for him to finish drives and defend at this level. Ingram had similar problems and a year in the weight room and just experience makes a big difference.
I think the most pressure comes from the organization, mostly Magic, not his dad.

I also think they should have got him a vet PG to back him up to teach him the small things while on the court...

He needs to find his shot but the last thing you said is the most important. It’s the “Small Things” that he’s missing which is why he’s not successful on the court.
For all the talk of how the Knicks should have took Smith or Philly should have took Tatum, the biggest fuck up may go to the Blazers. They drafted a big white boy would can shoot threes (Zach Collins) when they already have a big white boy would can shoot threes under contract for three years in Meyers Leonard. Don't care if they already have a CJ, Donovan Mitchell should have been a Blazer.
