Official NBA 2017-2018 Thread - Final day of the regular with playoff seating still unknown

I didn't take any of the Lebron/Sixers talk serious until recently. With myself being a Sixers fan and a big Lebron fan I wouldn't allow that pipe dream. But I've been paying close attention to all the recent dialog and its picking up legs for sure..

Lebron posting screenshots playing as the Sixers on NBA2k...

Him showing mad love to Embiid and Simmons...Obviously his relationship with Simmons is a factor.

Plus Embiid and Simmons have been fueling the rumors themselves.

The rumors of his people checking out schools in PA..

Plus it makes since from a logical standpoint. Philly is already in playoff contention without him. But if he came to Philly he would get most of the credit for making them contendors. Staying in the East, The Sixers plus Lebron are instant title contenders. If he goes to LA they still lose to GSW... maybe even Houston. Of course if Paul George goes to LA all bets are off.

But things as they are,...

Right now, Philly is better than Cleveland was when he came back to it...

and he would be able to stop Kyrie and Boston from Dethroning him in the east. If he stays in Cleveland, the Boston ursurp is a real threat IMO..and I think that losing to Kyrie is a real fear to him.


The only drawback is Simmons is a much different guard than Irving. Lebron would have to be the one too adjust his game because if you take the ball out of Simmons hands he is not nearly as special. On paper Lebron and Simmons aren't an ideal fit, but with both being high IQ players I think they can adjust.

I don't understand why Lue don't go with Lebon,Hill,Nance,Clarkson and Hood,because the team plays well for the most part with that lineup..Hell,that's how they beat OKC and Boston yet after the OKC game Lue rarely play with that lineup...

They play better defense with Lebron,Hill,Nance,Hood and Clarkson in the floor but Lue don't play that lineup much since the Celtics and OKC games.....What's funny that was the lineup that brought them back somehow Lue put Tristan and Cedi back in the game..

honestly I am actually impressed with the team, Horford though needs to figure out whats going on with his post game. its really basic and he is just lacking confidence, I enjoyed this game. Uncle Drew didn't have a great game and we were still in it.

I'd like to point out to the big baller hate brigade as well as the lonzo is trash fan club that the lakers had been playing like straight ass every game lonzo was out.
and suddenly now that he is back in they're playing inspired basketball.

Well like you said, Lue will be gone as he is the next scapegoat. Motivation is a big part of it. Lebron James let Paul Millsap ass go right around him on some I.T shit last night. Never seen that from him and he's the leader of the defense. They just don't want to play D. That's a team thing from the Coach on down.
