I would just say that my expectations were very low when it comes to Drake responding. This actually shocked me a lot because he actually planned this pretty well.
Meek misplayed his hand so badly that anything would have been effective.
To me, this is like if Jay had some legal issues that took him out the game, and Memphis Bleek would have went against Nas. Not saying Drake is Nas at all. I am saying, however, it was a mismatch from the start.

Our expectations for Drake in this beef were extremely low. So, when he actually delivers in a response, it's going to be oversold. That's the nature of the beast. Again, no one thought he would actually defend himself in an actual hip hop way. In fact, this is the most direct I've heard Drake when it comes to rivals/perceptions.

dude is plenty viable, has had plenty of big songs, is on pop radio in lots of markets, dates one of the most recognizable and highly publicized pop stars on the planet right now, and is on a tour with her.

my bias is in the fact that upon listening to him he was nothing special.. and upon his handling of this whole situation he created i was right.
