The Wall Street Journal did an article about how the schooll has been attracting kids from wealthy familes. Not confirmed, but I believe they had $2 million to spend in NIL and the school doesn't have a football team...
I will say the gym is about 4 years old, super nice, and the campus is nice as well...

Driving the news: High Point University, a small college in North Carolina, has become a magnet for wealthy students, attracting families from high-income backgrounds, including those from Wall Street
• The school has earned a reputation for its luxurious amenities, including an on-campus steakhouse where students are coached on dining etiquette and professional conduct, in preparation for their future careers )

The context: High Point University has made strategic efforts to appeal to affluent families by offering an upscale campus experience
• These efforts include providing not just top-tier academic resources but also fine dining, personal development opportunities, and a campus designed to reflect professional environments
• This model has turned the school into a preferred choice for families who value both education and social networking potential

Why it matters for the planet: As competition for high-end students intensifies, universities across the country are increasingly offering premium experiences
• This trend has broader implications for the future of higher education, where schools may need to cater to wealthier demographics to remain competitive
• The growing disparity between elite schools and others could exacerbate social and economic divides, as access to premium education becomes more dependent on family wealth

⏭️ What's next: High Point University’s model may influence other institutions, leading to an arms race for affluent students
• As schools aim to replicate High Point's success, more colleges could focus on providing luxurious, career-oriented experiences to attract wealthier families, potentially reshaping the landscape of American higher education

One quote: “Half of Wall Street sends their kids to this school.” – Nido Qubein, President of High Point University

One stat: High Point University’s focus on preparing students for the rigors of high-end careers has made it one of the top choices for affluent families, with a significant proportion of Wall Street families among its students.
