Official lakers vs mavs thread!!!!!!!

LA in six!!

Yeah. I just don't get that sense of urgency from them. They'll either get their minds right, or get sent on a fishing trip.

Nothing else to say about it at this point.

Edit: Lol! The Bulls and Hawks have six pages, and this has 14.

Mainly because Lakers won last year, AND no one wants them to 3peat....too many unnecessary repercussions with that shyt:smh:

Kobe stans are already delusional, imagine him getting a 2nd 3peat:smh: The non-sense would get even more out of hand

Oh ... that.

Well, when it comes down to it, it is all just a matter of opinion. I mean, while I feel Jordan is safely the G.O.A.T for a long time, that is not an absolute truth. You have NBA legends who do not feel Jordan is the G.O.A.T. Are they wrong?

If so, why?

Basketball is not an individual sport, and too much has to be considered when comparing players, but we treat it as if it is an individual sport when comparing players. Jordan's legacy is due in part to his skill as much as it is to the teammates he played with and the coaches who coached him.

That goes for any player.

MJ was the most enjoyable to watch, and was one of the best ever, but Russell gets my vote.

Agreed. As much as individual achievement molds a legacy, supporting casts win championships. The argument for the GOAT isn't even close, but that's depending on what era you grew up watching the game:cool: However, the Kobe shyt is at an all-time high from those who don't really understand the game (another opinion).

There's a changing of the guard so to speak in the NBA and new teams are becoming relevant, that is the bigger story that should be being discussed. Kobe had his time and maximized it yes. He will be/is one of the best to play the game offensively, but all around he's not in the top 5.

That said I wonder who will win it all:dance:

...and it's obvious what your criteria is for "G.O.A.T-dom" based on who you consider the G.O.A.T

It's funny, because people call me a Kobe-stan, not realizing, if I AM a Stan at all, it'd be for Michael Jordan. However, I've come to realize I consider Jordan the G.O.A.T for the following reasons:

1. Generational bias: Jordan's career played out during MY youth.

2. Style preference: Ultra-skilled, high scoring, athletic, graceful and flashy two guards are what usually catch my eye on the court. My two favorite NBA players of all times? Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

3. Media influence: In a way, Jordan's greatness was kind of crammed down our throats by the media. That ultimately created "The CULT of Michael Jordan". Seriously. That's why I laugh when people call Kobe fans 'Stans', 'cause Jordan fans don't even want to ENTERTAIN the notion that Jordan wasn't the greatest. Granted, it only gets ignorant when Kobe is compared to Jordan, but most Jordan fans will hear you out, but ultimately won't FEEL you when you bring up Abdul Jabaar, or Magic Johnson.

My question is why did Bynum only see 3 shots in the second half or for that matter why is it that the hot shooting Laker not named Kobe never seems to get the ball after half time, especially in the forth quarter?

Did you watch the game? Dallas played a zone which made it difficult for LA to get the ball to Bynum in a position to score.

Don't just look at box scores an stats Diamels. There was a portion in the second half where Bynum was on the court with Barnes, Brown and Blake and they didn't make a concerted effort to get him the ball.

Dallas has size to match LA. They played a zone and collapsed in the paint anytime anyone drove or pushed the ball inside. Bynum was effective, but it was difficult to establish the post.

So...

if you have scared players like corey brewer sagging off, that's obviously poor D. notice he didn't get any burn in G2?

Kobe didn't score or shoot as much in the first half as he did in game 1, if had 18 in the 1st again...he would've played. Carlisle stuck to his normal rotation. As they've said, one person won't beat them again & RC will throw as many options at that person as needed if KB24 heats up.

I got the bail money my dude.

96 FTs in 6 games. :hmm:

i know i am alone and i don't care about being alone in this

the best all around player to ever play the game is oscar robertson in my opinion

stunning game 2. but good thing it's a 7 game series and not a 5 game series anymore. lakers need to focus and take game 3.

and come on pau! git'cho sheit together! be THIS hyped mutha fuka again

kobe just needs to grab him after practice and be like 'u better than this, homie'

So...
Did I see the game live? No. but what I am seeing is something reoccurring and is something that has become predictable. My question isn't just about Bynum in this case, cause this has been going on for years, even when Shaq was playing. Players not named Kobe Bryant a have nice shooting first half, then second half comes around and they may see the 2 or 3 shots. When it happens all the time no matter who you are playing it can't be something just the other team is doing...

more proof of how sad and delusional fakers fans are.

i guess HNIC changed the date and time of this post, for example:

One post, how many victories did they have over New Orleans Samaki :hmm:

Pau Gasol for the postseason

13.6 points 7.8 rebounds and shooting .427%

Baby Thighs

He has to be injured :smh:

If you say Wilt, Kareem or Russell and they look at you so confused you might as well say Pee Wee Herman.

Honestly aside from playing better defense the mavs are pretty much playing their normal game, sorry laker fans the mavs aren't exerting more energy than they normally do they're just being more consistent.

ah, back tracking and deflection. the second wave of modus operandi for lying fakers fans.

first you act like i'm not in these threads after faker wins.

i provided proof that i do post in these threads after fakers wins, soundly refuting your bogus claim.

now you want to revise your bullshit.

typical bitch shit.

:smh:

6TH MAN OF THE YEAR WILL START

Lakers sixth man Lamar Odom told the media Friday morning that he is starting at small forward in Game 3 for the suspended Ron Artest, who is sitting out after striking Mavericks guard J.J. Barea in the face in the closing seconds of Game 2. The pregame notes tell a different story, with Shannon Brown starting at shooting guard and Kobe Bryant moving to the three. Head coach Phil Jackson isn’t tipping his hand. “We haven’t put our starting lineup on the floor yet,” he said. “And I don’t think the starting lineups ever finish the game a lot of the times, so it doesn’t matter.”

PLAY GREAT AND THE LAKERS WIN

I've been saying that all week. Dallas has yet to play their "A" game yet. Just wait until Peja, and Jet goes off. It's coming!!!!

mavs thread!!!!!!!

Just wait until Peja, and Jet goes off.

i've been pretty impressed by that goofy euro dufus. can't play a lick of D, but has been contributing on O.

G1 pulled from distance.

G2, ron artest did a great job running him off the arc, so he just took a dribble closer and hit the 2 point shot.

Fuck y'all Laker haters!!! We got this tonight and will tuen this series around!!!

mavs thread!!!!!!!

good game a little more than half way through Q1. only difference in the game so far is the careless ball handling of the dallas mavericks.
