Yea but with that being said, I don't think the Lakers played good at all today. I don't think they've played well all playoffs long though so hopefully they keep this play up. There's going to come a game where Dirk is going to be off. He's going to be terrible and that's the game the Mavs are going to need to win.
 
Let Kobe shoot all fucking first half, the Lakers rarely win when dude scores that much in the first half. We have to pace it offensively. Let Dirk get 4-8 every quarter, other players carry the burden, and let the beast loose in the fourth quarter. That's the formula.

Mavs took game 1. I told dudes today that today was a must-win. People looked at me crazy but this shit was a must-win. Now you have to ask the Lakers to take 4 out of 6 now. Possible? Yea but its a lot harder than taking 4 out of 7.

Yea, I was scared that he was gonna go off because Barkley kept talking shit.

But by him shooting so much in the 1st quarter, trying to prove a point, he fucked up Bynum and Gasol's rhythm.
 
J Kidd showed his ass defensively at the end of the game. He came up big with some stops to win this one.
 
That was a damn good look by Kobe, couldn't have gotten a better shot than that.

I've been saying all year that the Mavs were tougher than previous years. They could've folded after that early late 1st half/early 2nd half run that LA went on.

Kobe did chuck up 29 shots. yeah he was 14/29 of shooting but still.. he would have really worked Gasol and Bynum to get them going like he has done in the past...

Damn he shot that many? Seemed like he was much more efficient in that 2nd half though. He wasn't missing.
 
Kidd's muffed play with Terry on the top wing produced a great pass. Right before the oop to Chandler. I'm trying to figure out how he got the velocity and accuracy from that angle.

Actually, I do...in that POR series, Kidd & Terry carried the way in the first half, Dirk chipped in here & there, and entering the 4th Dirk was a beast...shooting & getting to the line. The Lakers been to 3 straight Finals, that 4th is a beast to get to. If not for that miracle shot by Fish, the spurs put them boys out the last time they went for 4. I think we can take this series...they're tired, don't appear to be into it mentally, prime for the taking.

That's the point I made about Dirk a few weeks ago. Its the same for both. If they put up too many points early, their team loses. They have to pace their scoring & dominate late. Kobe has a mental glitch in the system to where he takes shit personal & comes out to prove he's the greatest...shit always kills them in the long run.
