Go Green
You know what that means to me? You need players on your team with a better mental makeup. These are the pros, not rec center guys. But what you don't seem to realize (a point that me and eewwll have already made) players aren't going to bust their ass on the defensive end of the floor if they know they are being let down time after time due to poor offensive efficiency.
Have you ever played the game before?
If guys are consistently frozen out on the offensive end of the floor, due to lack of ball movement, do you really think they'll continue to give full effort on the other end of the floor?

I won't even bother with your "played the game before" nonsense, because I don't think you played professional basketball before, so even if I never even touched a basketball before, our experience as pro NBAers is the same.
Guys on that team weren't looking for an offensive rhythm from jump. Ron Artest passed up at least three open threes in the first quarter alone. Now, if Kobe takes those shots and they're poor shots, I'm with you - but if he's hitting them, you ride the hot hand - especially if your guys aren't getting it done. I'd much rather see LA do well as a team than Kobe score 19 alone.
I've never seen it where someone could be as hot as he was and still derided for it.
Like I have kept saying though, LA's issue is on the DEFENSIVE END.
Have you played the game before to realize the biggest issue was on DEFENSE?
pookie said:33% shooting in the first half, no one for the Lakers was hitting anything and then quickly down by 11 to start the 3rd BEFORE Kobe started shooting, if not for that i believe the game was headed for a blowout. He stopped all the shooting with like 2 or 3 minutes left in the quarter and the Lakers were down by 6 to enter the 4th quarter. What hurt the Lakers were the defensive lapses in, especially in the 4th quarter. Everytime the Lakers got it down to like 5 or so they would fall asleep on defense and the Celtics would get a easy basket
I agree with this eeww but on the flip side them ninjas wasn't helping him out one bit in making shots... I believe Kobe has to be back how he played game 1 driving to the basket creating plays and dishing the rock. He does that Lakers going to game 7
who has the wade gif after Kobe hit that long ass 3...LOL!
i dont think they are better i think they just want it more the lakers are just doin bs on the court kobe was playin like crap in the 1st half but turned it on in the 3rd. those other lakers need to seriously step it up or they will loose in six. my hope is that they come alive and whoop paul and his floppin ass.
Kobe Bryant did his thing tonight. If Kobe doesnt do what he did tonight this is a blowout game.
The Lakers have got to play better D. No let me rephrase that, the Lakers need to play some defense.
Ron Artest and Lamar Odom have to find and use the balls that God gave them because these 2 guys arent doing anything.
The celtics offense was out of this world tonight.
tuesday will be different. celtic fans enjoy because its a wrap for yall

This game is lost on the defensive end. They couldn't come up with key stops.
.
Actually, yes it is the problem. Despite all of that, the Celtics only scored 92. The lakers offensive efficiency in the game was horrible, which normally happens whens teams can't go inside or take low percentage jump shots.
I'll say this with caution because they seem to have you painted as the resident Kobe hater here...don the cape and look for the silver lining.
tobe did what he did and got an L.
but of course, it's everyone else's fault. because doing "his thing" can't hurt a team.

Bingo. LA fans are delusional sometimes.
How can you be OUT OF SYNC two minutes into the 3rd quarter..that is not even time to get into a rythym. How do you know what other players will do on the offensive end of they arent even touching the ball.

he's damned if does and damned if he doesn't![]()
Charles and Kenny are on NBATV if you want to see real post game analysis

Even if you get a full effort on the defensive end
the most amusing part of the offense/defense question is that so-called fakers fans don't even comprehend how the triple post O properly sets up the fakers D.
but that's fakers fans for you.
if the shots are taken within the O, it leads to proper set-up for D.
but that's light years beyond fakers fans.
in the meantime, i'll continue rooting for tobe to continue taking more and more shots.
Playing with Kobe is difficult. His trust in his team is very thin. He trust them as long as they are playing well. When they are not playing well then he feels the need to go Mamba.
Considering how LA won their two games (G1: dominance in the paint & G3: Off night shooting for Boston and D. Fisher will in the 4th)![]()

Im completely baffled by this. How can they not see this.
It is so fucking simple..the entire playoffs and even in this series. The Lakers have looked their best when they have been disciplined and ran the triple-post.
The games have gotten away from them when they have gone away from the triple-post.
And yes... I dont care who it is... Farmar, Artest, Kobe.... when the Lakers resort to perimeter-only shooting (without any post touches or rotations) and get away from the triple post, the offense becomes a fucking mess and also the transition defense.
This shit is very simple. Run the triple post and win a title... get away from it and watch Boston raise another banner...
C/S bruh! It's about trusting in your teammates, black mamba up to that old shit he use to do with Shaq, one of the main reasons they lost to Detroit in the Finals. Either you trust in your teammates or you don't. Jordan learned that by his first championship, he never lost in the Finals.
Boston won Game 2 by all-time Finals performances by Allen & Rondo and both Games 4 & 5 have gone down to the last couple minutes with Boston being at home.
Lakers will come to play in Game 6 and we'll be set for a Game 7 for the championship.
All the Lakers have to do is win on their home court and they will have Game 7 at home.

this is where i feel tobe gets an unfair shake.
i don't think he doesn't trust his teammates. i think he trusts them just fine. he just trusts himself more.
unfortunately for tobe, he's not playing singles tennis, ping pong or boxing.
tobe participates in a team sport, and his inability to read situations and have a feel for the ebb and flow of a game is crystal clear. he has zero basketball sense.
