I installed the Roku app on my TV. Thanks

I didn't see any of the leaked videos or anything. All I got was something I read a little while ago how there was a shootout in Chicago when they were filming.

They dropped it during promotion and it has no context in full but long time fans KNEW....

you didn't need a set up.

Someone messed with Raylen kid and we KNOW this side...

We missed it.

But gawd damn you know how hard it is to make Raylen go there.

With some shows and movies, I don't know how they would promote without giving it all away.

The movie, A Perfect Getaway, also with Timothy Olyphant, was one of those movies where it was impossible to create a traitor for the movie without giving anything away

glad they put her on a plane though

I hear you but she wasn't bad.

It doesn't make sense to keep her story wise so it was a good role for a young actress

Her inexperience was a good addition because everyone is so polished and sounds the same her awkwardness and youth and silliness and earnestness and innocence was so out of place it was NEEDED.

To not only show the other side of Raylen

But also how we get so much more frustrated with the rebellious youth

But perfectly accept and feel comfortable with the sociopath murder.

She was acting more "normal " as opposed to everyone else

Funny how that works huh?

the story sucked while she was there

no need to shoe horn annoying teens in every show..especially this one.

City Primeval
Season 1
Episodes 1 - 2

I watched these two last night before going to bed.

Series basically started like the first one with Raylan in Florida. The series picks up about 15 years after the last one.

He has a 15 year old daughter with him. Who her mother is has not been disclosed in these episodes. If it was I missed it.

Raylan is older, but he has the same grit as the original series.

The bad guy so far is a complete sociopath on the level of “The Joker”. He has a past that is connected with a number of supporting characters that are all involved in corruption on some level.

The first two episodes so far were mainly character introduction/development of the new characters. Along with Raylan’s relationship with his daughter which seems to be there are some issues that have not been disclosed too much. The actress playing Raylan’s daughter is Timothy Olyphant’s real life daughter.

I have episode 3 recorded, but got sleepy and needed to hit the sack in order to get out on the road today.

So far, the series is moving at a good pace similar to the original.

Gonna let a few episodes stack up and then catch up.

City Primeval
Season 1
Episodes 3 - 4

Watched these last night.

Raylan and his daughter, the tension between them is increasing.

Still have not gotten an update on Winona who is the mother.

The plot with Mansell is getting deeper.

The final scene with Raylan and Carolyn in the car….pretty obvious on how episode 5 is going to start.

HaHa!!!

Timothy Olyphant says he lost Captain Kirk role in Star Trek to Chris Pine because he was younger

"Somewhere along the line, J.J. called and said, 'I found a guy, younger, who's really good.'"

Timothy Olyphant is boldly going into detail about losing the role of Captain Kirk to Chris Pine for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movies.
The Justified actor, 55, revealed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he was in the running to play the Starship Enterprise's enigmatic captain, but the role ultimately went to Pine, 42, because he was younger.
"Here's what I can tell you about Star Trek: I went in and auditioned not for Captain Kirk, but I remember reading with J.J. Abrams and he's just a lovely, lovely guy. And just a lovely, lovely audition process," Olyphant explained. "Somewhere in there, I was auditioning for Doc, he's like, 'I already got a guy for Doc, so I don't need you for that, but I don't have a Kirk.'" (The role of Dr. Leonard McCoy would go to Karl Urban.)

Alas, it turned out Olyphant got some Kirk competition. "I believe it was one of those things where it's like they might have been prepared to hire me, but they wanted somebody younger, and [Abrams] was having a hard time finding somebody younger," he said. "And somewhere along the line, J.J. called and said, 'I found a guy, younger, who's really good.'"
(Reps for Abrams representatives didn't immediately respond to request for comment Thursday.)
Pine would go on to live long and prosper as Kirk in Abrams' 2007 film Star Trek as well its sequels, 2013's Star Trek Into Darkness and 2016's Star Trek Beyond. He was accompanied on his interstellar adventures by costars including Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldaña, and John Cho.

Despite losing out on the role, Olyphant maintained on the podcast that he has nothing but love for Pine.
"I have since then met Chris Pine and I am a huge fan of him both on and off screen. I love that guy. He's a good dude." He said. "This sounds very show business-y, but I had the honor, we're going to say honor, to go to the Golden Globes one year… and I spent most of the evening at the bar with Chris Pine. Just really adored him. What a good guy. I really like his work. He's one of those guys who makes it look simple and easy."
He only has positive memories from his time auditioning with Abrams too. "Auditioning sucks," Olyphant said, "and the fact that I remember the audition process fondly says a lot about J.J. Abrams and what a wonderful man that guy is."
Olyphant told MTV back in 2007 that he had "met with J.J. Abrams" to discuss playing an unspecified character in Star Trek but it eventually fell through. "That led to a series of conversations and I was very flattered. Lots of emails exchanged between the two of us," he said at the time. "Ultimately I think we both were aware that it just didn't make sense. It was a mutual thing."
