they did a hell of a job introducing Boon and really adding tension to that showdown.
This is the most fucking commercials this show ever had!!!![]()
didnt like the ending
I THOUGHT IT WAS POETIC.
Raylin looking at himself in the mirror. He reflection asking him
"You could have just call or sent someone else to deliver the news."
And Raylin told his reflection "Because we dug coal together"
PLUS "the one thing I never believed was a lie is that you loved her"
Raylin showing he loved AVA too at the end.
they really brought home the kindred spirits on that last scene.
They did. It was great how they did it.they did a hell of a job introducing Boon and really adding tension to that showdown.
In slow motion Boone fired first. So like a stated clearly faster.
last week boone said he always went for the shoulder
so why would he go for a head shot this time
too many commercials
ok ending, just wish there was more... really hate that this show is ending
I was watching the pilot through ep 3 of season 1, before the finale tonight... the writers did everything they could to bring the story full circle... Art Tim Rach Boyd Ava and Raylan's wife all referenced or finished conversations started during season 1
Who the fuck are you talking about nigga!?This is killing me had to bump this post...
I've heard the reason WHY he left but I always wanted the writers to finally reveal WHAT he was planned to do...the back story alone. You KNOW he would have had a ill monologue coming. The way Yolo, Chris and the slow talking hulk solider (forgot his name right now) were career defining roles.
I think he would have been up there.
He said "Thats the problem with always going for the head" (sometimes you hit the shoulder)last week boone said he always went for the shoulder
so why would he go for a head shot this time
Good catch and question. I wondered the same. Initially i thought it was meant for her and she redirected it to Raylan or "Rachel" was the assumed name of Ava. Good question though. I dont see how she would be a "junior" Marshall though with all the time she has in.Tell me something, why was Rachel's name on the letter? Was Rachel the Junior Marshal in Seattle who ID'd Ava?
These young cats dont know about that big ass bottle rocket man.Didn't know Boyd was a deadeye (literally) with the gun. He made Markum look like Reverend Lester Lowe from Silver Bullet, that 80's werewolf movie with Corey haim & Gary Busey.
These young cats dont know about that big ass bottle rocket man.![]()
They did. It was great how they did it.
He said that you never know when someone is wearing armor, always go for the head shot.
It was great sharing this time with y'all on this show. Almost like how it was when we went back and forth on Fringe and a couple of other shows.
Tell me something, why was Rachel's name on the letter? Was Rachel the Junior Marshal in Seattle who ID'd Ava?
Got home late damn DVR didnt tape so I JUSt watched it...
damn they needed like 15 more minutes less commercials and an after show.
It was excellent.
Like how Raylan finally met a REAL LEO...no nonsense not playing not falling for any tricks it was a nice call back to the whole series to show how in reality all that cowboy stuff and deep meaningful conversations with criminals don't exist.
He was basically Raylan 2.0 - he told Raylan if he didn't shut up he would put him in the trunk - Raylan told Dewey Crowe the same thing - Unlike most sheriff's deputies Raylan runs into this guy is the real deal he recognized it immediately - I bet him and Raylan would get along just fine but for he had Raylan in handcuff.
And I KNOW i recognize that cop who arrested Raylan he looks crazy familiar.
Art is the man...didn't even make it a MILE before he gave Raylan his badge back and had one last chance to have a little fun with his favorite son.
Art loves Raylan - he is a throwback like Art and even though he is a pain in the ass - he gets the job done -
Markum ending up being a great villain he was just broken. Loved how he PULLED Eva in with the chair.
Didn't like that Markum fell for that phone trick.
Only Justified would show Boyd having all this mental machination A-HA! moments only to dig a dead body.
While I KNEW Raylan wasn't going to shoot Boyd the tension was so thick.
After the killing spree that Boyd has been on since he killed Dewey Crowe, I thought they were giving Raylan moral justification to kill Boyd - put down this mad dog but I am incredibly happy he did not because I loved the last scene - it mean so much as a capper for the series
For a minute that long drive on the highway...
I thought they were gonna pass Vic Makey driving a truck cross country and running over Jax Teller.
Most of ya'll called it...I liked the duel (why Loretta acting like she did something)
THE DUEL - I was dreading this duel - and with good reason - but sometimes looking at the clock gives things away and there was too much time before the end of the show and the duel for Raylan to die - but damn when he went down I thought he might be dead. - As for the head shot - he said that is the best way to go because too many guys are wearing body armor - and he probably thought Raylan had protection of some sort so he went for the head shot - and missed, barely - but as the say its better to be lucky than good and Raylan was lucky
WE ALL KNEW Ava was gonna drive away, but Raylan would never take the keys out the car JUST in case things went haywire.
but I get it.
Don't like the Black hat.
He lost his hat to Boon so now he won the new hat fair and square - I wish he had given the old hat to Rachel - she like it so much and it would have been a reminder of how close you can be to death and how luck plays a role.
I wanted him to be with Winona so BAD...that hurt my heart but the strong bond with his daughter was a nice touch...Winona looked DAMN good in that skirt.
This part didn't make sense to me - he went to Miami to be with Winona and his daughter - she said she would go anywhere to be with him - 4 years later some other man is with her and raising his daughter - HUH? -
I would NOT mind a series on Raylan in Miami being a father and Marshall.
I would like to see this as a family drama because as I said above I don't understand the broken family aspect - Raylan isn't spending all of his time tracking down Boyd - he seems happy and as he said no longer the angriest man - so whey are they not together -
I got to do research on who sent that press clipping to Raylan...great catch.
Raylan leaving the office was so bittersweet, liked the exchange with Tim and wanted more from Rachel because she was really his FIRST partner.
I think Rachel would still be a little bitter with Raylan - he cost her first posting as Chief and she can't just be teary at this point he is leaving - the fact that she mentioned the hat is a throwback to when they first met - and the fact it was Boon's hat let him know she was glad he was last man standing - knowing Raylan - I am sure in the subsequent 4 years he has mended fences with Rachel -
Now the BIG scenes...Seeing Boyd's son was great, expected but still great because it ALL ABOUT THE FATHERS.
(Raylan essentially calling the kid fat...priceless!)
That's not Boyd's kid that Constable Bob's kid ..lol
How much they paying Marshall's cause he just hopped on a cross country flight like that?
Seeing Boyd preaching again full circle.
very very clever Devil reference. (without even having to show him)
Cousin Jay saw that cracked mirror reference I've been talking about the whole series those brilliant writers displayed perfectly.
That conversation was something you would have found on the stage...it was gripping. And damn it even I didn't realize that Ava was so critical to these two.
Question: Do you think Boyd BELIEVED Raylan's news about Ava's death?
He wants to BELIEVE it
Only on Justified would a character that was supposed last for one episode turn out to be a damn criminal genius on par with Keyser Soza..Wynn Duffy
On All Fours Mobile Pet Grooming
We are experts in Doggie Style
As everyone on the show has said one time or another - That Goddamn Wynn Duffy- Now he can tan without a booth - Bali Hai
gonna watch it again and have a nice shot of Kentucky's finest.
I will miss the hell out of this show.
And to all contributors of this thread...I'll miss these discussions
We dug coal together.
The equivalent of being in the same foxhole - it means something in Coal Country
