Ok, megs, is Nekron really a character that really has shown up before years ago - or is he one big reticonn?
He is an old character but I don't think he embodies death of DC. In fact, since they already used Sandman in the regular DC books I would think the only person with the power to do what Nekron is doing is Death....the goth girl and sister to Sandman...but DC will only support bam bucks.

How come Nekron just uses Alex Luthor to open portals to other worlds and take other dead heroes and villains with the might to invoke more emotions?
He did it to get Superman Prime...yet he did not think to get more elsewhere...
Fuck that...How come he did not save Psycho-Pirate for good use in a later battle since he can FORCE everyone to feel any emotion that he wishes...

ANother thing; Wonder Woman was a black lantern but the violet ring of love was able to override the black ring because of who she is...

Barry has always been about Hope. Even as the Flash before the First Crisis, he was an underdog in the League and Hope seemed all he had for awhile.

When Wally West was given the mantle his books were a little more evolved.
When a natural disaster strikes...and you see Superman coming in to help...He inspires hope.
You don't think about Flash or anyone else in the DCU.

When Flash shows up they don't even wink. In fact, they look at him and wonder where Superman is...
