Official Georgia Vs Boise State Thread

it's not whether boise state could whip any SEC team... sure they could. they have an awesome coach, disciplined defense, and precise offense.

but could boise state line-up and play LSU, Arky, UF, Tennessee, SC every weekend? do they have both the talent AND the depth to go thru the SEC 'meat grinder?'

but in a 'one-off' game, any team can get whipped on any given saturday or sunday.
The SEC is overrated. The SEC has a one or two schools just like any other conference. I never understood the hype the SEC continues to get.

Florida, Alabama, LSU, Carolina, Georgia is usually ranked top 10 although they usually fall short. So yeah, from the history of these schools alone, SEC is a powerhouse.

This is why the SEC is rated as high as they are.
History of the BCS Champions
1998 - Tennessee(SEC)
1999 - FSU(ACC)
2000 - OU(Big 12)
2001 - Miami(Big East)
2002 - OSU(Big 10)
2003 - LSU(SEC)
2004 - USC(vacated)(Pac 10)
2005 - Texas(Big 12)
2006 - Florida(SEC)
2007 - LSU(SEC)
2008 - Florida(SEC)
2009 - Alabama(SEC)
2010 - Auburn(SEC)
I understand some people just have to see the facts in front of their faces to understand it.
Out of 13 BCS titles, the SEC holds more than half with 7 titles by 5 different teams.
If the SEC is not the most powerful conference, than who is please explain?

Boise would smash those 3 every weekend. Alabama, UF, and LSU would be problems. Seriously Tennessee, Arky, and Gamecocks? If SEC wins another championship its coming from one of the top 3.

I don't know about SC man, they struggled for the first 3 quarters of that game. The have a great running game and I like Garcia but Spurrier is a pure asshole, he does not know to just leave his QB alone and let him gain confidence.

In 2010, Auburn struggled against Clemson in their opener too. Look how they ended out the season. Lesson is...you can't take the first game and extrapolate how they're going to play for the rest of the year:smh:

How in the world did LSU make the title game with two damn losses?

The SEC was supposed to be so tough but Florida straight raped teams by 30 pts:lol:

Once again The Florida, LSU, and Auburn titles were tainted because we had other schools who were not allowed to compete.

Real Talk Boise State Can Play with anyone from the SEC....

And Yes Boise State could play A full SEC schedule and Win 10 games...

How many times does boise state have to win bowl games, Have 12-0 seasons, before they are a legit. They have a great football program and that just real.

Say what you will but Spurrier has had Garcia's back the whole time that Garcia has been there. If he didn't Garcia would have been kicked off that team a long time ago.Besides as much as Garcia gets himself in trouble Spurrier better make sure that he has another game ready and experience QB on the roster.

You do realize the top 5 teams, all had 2 losses that season right?

Better yet, Hawaii & Kansas should've leap frog over all the other teams, since they were the only 1 loss teams in the top 25
Keep in mind Kansas lost the Big 12 conference to Mizzou and Hawaii went to the Sugar Bowl against GA and guess what happend there?

Nobody was undefeated that year. After OSU, LSU was the top ranked 2 loss team. Fact of the matter is...nobody gave LSU that game just because they made it there. They still had to show up and win in which they dominated. OSU fans aren't making excuses so why would anybody else?

You're the first person I've ever seen make this argument. Sounds like your issue is with the BCS not the schools. Hell I can even go a little further than this and add the USC 2004 title is tainted cause they should've played Auburn instead of Oklahoma. But you don't hear any SEC fans crying about that one though.

Hey BrownTurd, since SEC is not the best conference in your mind, which conference would you say is the best in NCAA?

No USC and OU ran the table that year and started 1 and 2 why would Auburn jump them? Now after the game everyone was like man Auburn should have went b/c OU got crush but nobody expected that. Bush/Linhart(?) vs White(heisman winner)/Peterson. On paper all the stars were there just was a fucking joke of a game.

Yeah you're right. My bad. That's my mistake.

I keep getting that year mixed up with the one Oklahoma lost their conference championship game to Kansas State and they still got to play for the national title.
