@@@Official Cavs thread 2014-2015@@@

Looks like the Hawks are trying to just hand over the #1 seed too tho...

All the confidence they won during the Cavs game, has been erased over the last few weeks..
If the Cavs cruising is a bad thing, what the Hawks are doing is three times worse, because at least the Cavs are winning with their cruising... But like the Cavs the Hawks lack the proper post season experience to be pussy footing heading into the playoffs...

So what is GM Lebron going to do? It's obvious Kevin Love is out of there, will he be able to do a sign and trade? They might have traded Andrew Wiggins for nothing.

Is he still going to throw a bunch of money at Thompson?

Mozkov was a damn good pick up though

I don't think Kevin Love leaving is set in stone. Depends on how the playoffs go.

If Kevin Love leaves, Lebron will just try to lure someone else and Gilbert will give him the blank check to do so. If this team wins a chip, it won't be hard.

Don't think LeBron gives a damn right now about next season in March?!?! Still a lot to do this season... :hmm:

That white boy overated he can't even curtail his game for the team and trying to win a chip...

Yeah that Wiggins shit gonna come back and bite Em in the ass real hard...

you guys are really still harping on that wiggins trade

what about Wiggins numbers suggests he is this ginormous earth shaking talent....

As for Love leaving...where exactly are these options that are so enticing for him to go too?

what teams out there screams "leave those Cavs and come here for greener pastures?"

Exactly. The kid has talent, but you would think he was averaging 25 and 15...

He may develop, or he may just be a good pro, like a Josh Smith type... Who knows...

He's young with unlimited upside and can "DEFEND"

Love can't guard a roach running out of your cabinet

Lakers gonna throw paper at him..

I see people calling him a guaranteed superstar..

smh

DO you see him as that? Seriously, no one is a guaranteed anything. He has the tools, but there have been dozens of Guys who had the tools to be game changers and weren't.

I don't see that yet, but I definitely respect whatever view point you may have bruh?!

I dont see anything that screams guaranteed superstar about him.

I see solid wing...which by the way is a pretty good nba career.

He has had some nice spurts this season.

But look at the guys who have been superstars. When you see them play they LOOK DIFFERENT.

Fuck are you talking about? He has sacrificed his game for the team and has Bosh-like numbers.

God help Love if his numbers drop in the playoffs like Bosh's did.

Yep... It's that IT factor, which I used to despise when I heard it said! When KD, LeBron, Westbrook, Kyrie, even by extension Jabari Parker before he got hurt, and a few others, walk on the court you can pick them out and know these Dudes are ballers...

You laughing but yo ass gonna be hotter than fish grease when Blatt sitting him all 4th quarter in the playoffs of close games...

Shit ain't even a good look now and u see love bitchin on the low

To me Love looks at times like his is injured, he just don't seem to have the same spring in his step that he had in years past, and often he looks to be in deep pain often on the court and he seems to sacrifice so much impact getting those tough rebounds and boxing out, that it makes me wonder how much he can absorb playing this way..

Word is that he has back problems. And we all know about back problems. Worst thing that can happen to any athlete. Shit, it can hurt to take a breath when you have a back injury.

Yeah, you can tell how he runs up & down the court during some games. Either spasm's or tightening of some sort is going on. His posture is very telling...

All people could talk about was Kevin Love's comments. Shit is so much under a microscope...

Cavaliers-Grizzlies Preview
STATS LLC

The Western Conference has been by far the stronger side with 10 teams above .500 compared to five in the East.

That certainly hasn't intimidated the surging Cleveland Cavaliers heading into a matchup between first-place clubs.

The Cavs will try to extend their dominance of West opponents Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, but they'll have to get it done at a place they've struggled dating to LeBron James' first stint in Cleveland.

After winning a league-best 27 of 33 since Jan. 15, the Cavs (46-26) have stormed into second place in the East while building a three-game advantage over Chicago in the Central Division.

James led the way with 28 points and 10 rebounds in Sunday's 108-90 win at Milwaukee, while J.R. Smith had 23 points and hit seven 3-pointers as Cleveland opened a three-game trip with its third straight win.

James has scored 29.4 per game and shot 39.3 percent from 3 in his last 13 against West opponents. He finished with 25 points and 11 assists to help the Cavs shoot a season-high 60.5 percent in a 105-91 home win over defensive-minded Memphis on Dec. 21.

That was one of only four victories in the team's first 15 games against the West. Since then, Cleveland has won an NBA-best 13 of 14 such matchups.

"It's just a numbers thing," James said. "We just try to go out no matter who the opponent is and play our style of basketball. We know we're playing the second-best team in the West, so it should be exciting for us."

The Cavs have shown the ability to run with West opponents, averaging 109.8 points while posting a plus-10.7 scoring margin during this stretch. They've scored 102.8 per game when facing teams from their own conference this season.

Kyrie Irving has played well against the West with a 25.8 scoring average and 42-of-82 (51.2 percent) shooting from beyond the arc over his past 13 meetings. The All-Star is averaging 21.1 points with a 34.9 3-point percentage against East clubs.

Cleveland won't be facing the typical up-tempo West team in the Southwest-leading Grizzlies (50-21). They rank second in the NBA in defensive scoring at 95.2 points per game following their third straight win, 103-82 at New York on Monday.

Memphis, which owns a 2 1/2-game lead for the conference's second seed, has been particularly tough to beat at home. It's won 11 of 13 at FedExForum while limiting opponents to 85.4 points per game and a 40.6 field-goal percentage.

"We know what we are playing and getting ready for," forward Zach Randolph said.

The Grizzlies will likely continue getting the ball inside to Randolph and Marc Gasol after they combined for 44 points while pulling down 15 rebounds Monday. Gasol has totaled 45 points and 19 boards in his last two meetings with Cleveland.

Starting guard Courtney Lee's status is uncertain after missing the last two games with a right hand sprain.

"They are who they are and they don't change for no one," James said. "You have to try and beat them at their game and understand they're going to ground and pound."

The Cavs have dropped the past five meetings in Memphis dating to the 2009-10 season.

Just like nobody is talking about how the Cavs with LeBron are undefeated vs the big bad west, except that one game where James caught a bout of vertigo that made him dizzy every time he went to the charity stripe, and single handily lost the game for them..
